His work ranges from blockbuster franchises to acclaimed dramas, earning honors including the Dcine Award (2079) for Best Editor.

Tara Thapa, popularly known as “Kimvhey” or “Kimbhe,” is a senior Nepali film editor active since 1999 and credited in more than 100 feature films. One of the most prolific editors in the industry, he has shaped the post‑production of major commercial, social‑drama, and action films across two decades. His notable works include Satya (2024), Tulki (2023), Jiwan Kanda Ki Phool (2019), Kale Dai (2019), Dr. Khatey (2017), Refugee (2016), Sushree (2015), Loafer (2013), Kina Kina (2013), and Jaya Hos (2012). Known for his speed, precision, and narrative clarity, Thapa remains one of Nepal’s most trusted editors in mainstream cinema.
