Lasimit Rai, born in Rangapani, Jalpaiguri, India, was a celebrated Nepali singer active for more than three decades. She earned her Master’s degree in Nepali Literature from Tribhuvan University and taught at United Academy in Jawalakhel. Her admired film songs include Mayaluko Muharai Hansilo from Gauley, Sangsangai Bachna Paun from Lekhanth, Mari Gaye Muri Mato from Paradeshi Kanchha, and Aaj Maile Ram Namai Japey from Majhi Dai. Her modern hits include Sunkoshiko Sunko Pani, Samjhanale, and Ghamle Pani Polchha. She lent her voice to over fifty songs. Rai passed away in 2021 due to COVID‑19.

Nisha Deshar (निशा देशार) is a distinguished Nepali singer renowned for her contributions to the genres of ghazals and modern Nepali songs. Born on December 12, 1984 (Poush 27, 2041 B.S.), in Chapagaun, Lalitpur, Nepal, she is the daughter of Gyanlal Deshar and Chiri Maya Deshar. Nisha's musical journey commenced in 2001 (2058 B.S.) with her debut recording in the Nepal Bhasha language. She holds a Diploma in Music from Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad, and has pursued academic studies, completing her SLC from Prerana Mahila Bidhyalaya and +2 from Bagmati Community Campus, majoring in English. Throughout her career, Nisha has released several albums, including: Lokarpan (2067 B.S.): A collection of ghazals and modern songs. Nisha (2070 B.S.): A compilation in the Nepal Bhasha language. Sharab (2071 B.S.): An album dedicated to ghazals. Her melodious voice and emotive performances have earned her accolades such as the Image Award, Bindabasini Award, Kalika Award, and the Rapati National Ghazal Award. In addition to her recordings, Nisha actively engages in nurturing young talent. She served as the chief guest at the Inter School Nepali Ghazal Singing Competition organized by DAV School, where she performed and motivated aspiring singers.

Pranil L. Timalsena is a Nepali singer, rapper, and songwriter best known as one half of the pioneering hip‑hop duo Girish–Pranil (GP), whose work in the 1990s laid the foundation of NepHop, Nepal’s earliest hip‑hop movement. He began his musical journey with Girish Khatiwada, releasing Ma Yesto Chhu with rapper DA69, a track widely recognized as the first major breakthrough of rap music in Nepal .As part of Girish–Pranil, he contributed to several influential early rap songs including Timi Jaha Pani Jaanchhau, Malai Bhot Deu, Hami Dherai Sana Chhu, Meaningless Rap, Diyeko Maya Samhali, Dream, Gaarho Bho, Zoom Zoom Boom Boom, Seto Ghoda, and Yesari . His collaborative hit Aankha Bhari with DA69 further strengthened his presence in the emerging hip‑hop scene .Pranil later expanded into melodic and modern Nepali music, working with major artists including Nabin K.
