Krishna Devkota is a Nepali folk and dohori singer, songwriter, and composer known for his expressive vocal delivery and commitment to authentic lok‑dohori traditions. Active through his official YouTube channel, he has released popular songs such as “Jor Dharako Pani”—where he contributed both lyrics and music—and collaborative hits including “Ma Ta Lahure Gorkha Paltan Ko,” “Ramdi Jharera,” and “Kasko Dil Thulo.” His works often feature leading artists like Shanti Shree Pariyar, Laxmi Neupane, Khuman Adhikari, and Devi Gharti. Devkota’s catalog reflects a blend of heartfelt storytelling, melodic clarity, and dedication to preserving Nepal’s folk musical heritage.

Master Mitrasen Thapa Magar (1895–1946) was a pioneering Nepali folk singer, dramatist, social reformer, and cultural ambassador whose work laid the foundation for organized Nepali folk performance. Born in Bhagsu, Dharamshala, he served in the Gurkha Regiment before dedicating his life to music, theatre, and community upliftment. He performed widely across India and Nepal, including Kathmandu Durbar, where he presented folk songs, dramas, and shamanic‑influenced performances, earning high recognition and public felicitation. His mission was to preserve Nepali identity among diaspora communities through art, discipline, and cultural pride. Master Mitrasen recorded seven gramophone discs in Calcutta, a rare achievement for a Nepali artist of his era. Out of his 63 known compositions, 23 songs survive in recorded form. In 1942, he wrote “Buddhvaani” in Nepali to spread messages of peace, compassion, and social harmony. He passed away in 1946 while on a cultural tour, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire Nepali folk musicians worldwide.

Prem Raja Mahat is a renowned Nepali folk singer, songwriter, and musician. Often referred to as the "Elvis of the Himalayas," he has made significant contributions to Nepali folk music since the late 1970s. Some of his timeless classics include Bajho Khet Ma, Paan Ko Paat, and Simsime Panima. He is also known for playing traditional Nepali instruments like the sarangi and madal. Born in Tanahun, Nepal, Prem Raja Mahat faced hardships early in life, losing both parents at a young age. Despite these challenges, he pursued his passion for music and became a celebrated artist. In 1996, he immigrated to the United States, where he continued to create music and even opened a Nepali restaurant in Baltimore

Prakash Saput Known for his modern folk songs, most recently the hugely popular ‘Galbandi’, Prakash Saput is an artist of many talents – singer, composer, song writer, and producer. In the music field since the last one and half decades, he is most famed for his ‘Dohori Battles’, a modern rendition of the traditional ‘Dohori’ songs where one party sings and the other indulges in witty ripostes and repartees.
