Krishna Sudha Dhungana

Arjun Sapkota is a Nepalese folk singer, songwriter, and music composer from Nawalparasi, Nepal. He has sung more than one and half Dozen songs including "Pachhuri Lisyo", "Simalai ma Maina","Banki Chari", "Pirati Nalam Maya", "jamekai Gaun Royo"

Ustad Sahila, born (Asta Man Shrestha) in Asaar 1951, was a pioneering figure in Nepali folk‑based musical innovation. Known for introducing a fresh dimension to Nepali lok‑laya, he blended traditional rhythms with expressive vocal phrasing that made his songs deeply memorable. He trained in Kolkata under respected maestros Pandit Laxmikanta, Ustad Surya Mishra, and Ustad Shiva, gaining a strong classical foundation that shaped his unique style. In 1990 B.S., he recorded his songs in Kolkata, producing seven gramophone discs, a rare achievement for a Nepali artist of his era. His popular songs include “Kalo Theki Naran Kali Kathako”, which remains a beloved folk classic. Ustad Sahila passed away on Magh 15, 2013, leaving behind an important musical legacy.  

Ram Thapa (1958–2008) was a pioneering Nepali folk singer, music director, and Radio Nepal presenter known for his humorous and socially conscious songs. Born in Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu, he began his musical career in 1974 and became a 7th Grade Music Director at Radio Nepal. He sang over 150 folk songs and directed music for more than 200, with hits like Thok Na Madal Thok, Timi Yesai Lajayau, and Ritu Haruma Timi, which was ranked 7th by BBC in 2003. He was the first to publish Nepali music books with lyrics and chords, contributing to music education. Ram Thapa also served as a judge on Nepali Tara I & II, mentoring young talent. He passed away in 2008 due to liver disease.

Rita Thapa Magar is a Nepali folk and duet singer who has made a significant impact in the Nepali music industry. She is the President of the National Folk and Duet Song Academy in Nepal and also owns Samdhini Resort and Samdhini Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. Rita has a strong presence on social media and is followed by many fans.
