Rimla Moktan

  Lasimit Rai, born in Rangapani, Jalpaiguri, India, was a celebrated Nepali singer active for more than three decades. She earned her Master’s degree in Nepali Literature from Tribhuvan University and taught at United Academy in Jawalakhel. Her admired film songs include Mayaluko Muharai Hansilo from Gauley, Sangsangai Bachna Paun from Lekhanth, Mari Gaye Muri Mato from Paradeshi Kanchha, and Aaj Maile Ram Namai Japey from Majhi Dai. Her modern hits include Sunkoshiko Sunko Pani, Samjhanale, and Ghamle Pani Polchha. She lent her voice to over fifty songs. Rai passed away in 2021 due to COVID‑19.

Shanti Shree Pariyar is one of Nepal's most celebrated folk singers, songwriters, and composers, renowned for her powerful voice and significant contribution to Nepali folk and modern music. Born in Rolpa, Nepal, in 1989, she overcame a challenging childhood and pursued her dream of becoming a singer from an early age.At the age of sixteen, she moved to Kathmandu to build her musical career and spent several years performing in various Dohori establishments. To strengthen her musical foundation, she received formal vocal training under Guru Chandan Kumar Shrestha at Gandarbha Kala Kendra and successfully passed Radio Nepal's vocal examination in 2009.Shanti Shree began her professional recording career with the album Ghar Chha Tin Tale in 2011. She rose to nationwide prominence through a series of hit songs, including Bola Maya, Galbandi, Chauka Dau, Areli Kadaile Malai, Baseu Alakkai, and many others. Over the years, she has recorded thousands of songs, establishing herself as one of the most influential voices in contemporary Nepali folk music.Her talent and popularity have earned her numerous prestigious honors, including Kantipur National Music Awards, Image Awards, National Folk and Duet Awards, Bindabasini Music Awards, and several other recognitions for her outstanding contribution to Nepali music.Today, Shanti Shree Pariyar is regarded as one of Nepal's leading folk artists, admired for her expressive singing style, dedication to preserving Nepali musical traditions, and ability to connect with audiences across generations.

Master Jitu Singh – SingerMaster Jitu Singh recorded 4 songs in BS 1990 (AD 1933/1934). No further details are documented, but he is acknowledged among the active artists of that recording period.
