Raju Dhungel

Ganesh Rasik is a well-known Nepali singer, musician, author, and social worker. He has made significant contributions to Nepali music and literature, particularly during the 'Ralfa' era, which played a crucial role in shaping modern Nepali music. Before joining 'Ralfa,' Rasik was more focused on writing, but his involvement in the movement made him inseparable from music. Later, he was also associated with 'Lekali,' another influential music group. Some of his popular songs include: Rato Bhale (with Hiranya Bhojpure) Timraa Sapanaahru Saaili Mero Atit Antaraal I & II Apart from music, Rasik has authored several literary works, including Kshitizlai Chhuna Khojda and Dusgajaamaa Ubhiyera Swaadhintaako Pida. His contributions have earned him numerous honors, such as the Gorkha Dakshin Baahu and Ratnashree Swarna Padak.

Nawin K. Khadka is a Nepali Purbeli folk singer, composer, and cultural documentarian known for preserving Eastern Nepal’s Jhyaure, Khyali, and traditional dance‑based musical heritage. Active through the Arun Valley Cultural Research Center, he has performed and composed major works such as “Chha Salam Kasari Bolau,” “Hou Bari Lai Lai,” “Hunna Ma Bhane Ram Saili,” and “Ama Jyu Ko Butte Ma Choli.” Khadka frequently serves as singer, music composer, videographer, editor, and director, making him one of the few multi‑disciplinary creators in Purbeli folk. His projects highlight authentic Sankhuwasabha–Arun Upatyaka rhythms, traditional dance forms, and community‑based cultural preservation.

ika Sanu is a popular Nepali singer known for her captivating performances in Dohori songs. Dohori is a traditional form of musical debate where two singers, usually a man and a woman, sing in a call-and-response style, often engaging in playful banter. Tika Sanu has participated in numerous live Dohori performances and has collaborated with various artists. Some of her notable performances include duets with Nabin Dhungel, Raju Pariyar, Asmita Dallakoti, and Prasanna Pathak. Her performances are well-received and have garnered a significant following on platforms like YouTube.

Badri Pangeni is a renowned Nepalese folk and dohori singer, celebrated for his contributions to Nepali music. Born in Nawalparasi, Nepal, he later moved to Palpa for his schooling. After completing his School Leaving Certificate, he relocated to Kathmandu in 1998 and worked at Pukar Dohori Sanjh for six years. His first album, "Tansen Kasauli," marked the beginning of his musical journey. Over the years, he has sung more than five dozen songs, including hits like "PN Campus," "Beauty Number One," and "Sasurlima," a duet with Sindhu Malla. Badri Pangeni's music often reflects traditional Nepali culture, making him a prominent figure in the genre. He also served as the president of the Nepal Folk Duet Academy, showcasing his dedication to promoting folk music.
