Subhadra Adhikari is one of Nepal's most celebrated and respected actresses, whose remarkable career has spanned more than six decades across film, theatre, radio, television, and musical dramas. Born on 20 Bhadra 2004 B.S. (1947 A.D.) in Asan, Kathmandu, she is the daughter of Balram Adhikari and renowned singer Nuradevi Karki. She is also related to legendary Nepali singer Tara Devi, who was her maternal cousin.From an early age, Subhadra Adhikari displayed extraordinary artistic talent. At just five years old, she performed classical dance at Saraswati Sadan (Camp), and by the age of six she had begun acting on stage through the Newari play Kachimcha (काँचो माटो).
