Sushila Rayamajhi was a respected Nepali film artist known for her natural, emotionally grounded performances and her versatile contributions to cinema. Beginning her career through radio plays, she later worked at Rastriya Naachghar before transitioning fully into films, where she appeared in more than 50 movies. She gained recognition with her lead role in Chot and went on to act in acclaimed films such as Prem Pinda, A Mero Hajur, Kaha Bhetiyela, Pahuna, Nata Ragat Ko, and Yug Dekhi Yug Samma. She also produced and co‑produced films like Dhan Sampati and Pinjada, showcasing her creative range. Rayamajhi passed away on 26 January 2012 after battling uterine cancer, leaving behind a meaningful legacy in Nepali cinema.

Prabin Khatiwada, a versatile Nepali actor, has left an indelible mark in the world of performing arts. Let’s delve into his journey and notable achievements: Birth Year: Prabin Khatiwada was born in 1984 in Letang, Morang, in the eastern part of Nepal. Early Interest: Even during his school days, Prabin felt drawn to performing arts. Despite being considered a good student, he couldn’t resist the allure of the stage. Gurukul Theatre: His life took a significant turn when he visited Gurukul Theatre during his journalism studies at Ratna Rajya Campus. Watching actors express themselves on stage ignited a spark within him, and he knew he wanted to be part of this world. Acting Journey: In 2004, Prabin joined Gurukul Theatre as an in-house actor. His first play was “Agniko Katha”, written by Abhi Subedi and directed by Sunil Pokharel. This experience revealed that acting was not as easy as he had initially thought. Turning Point: In 2009, when Gurukul Theatre faced closure, director Nischal Basnet approached Prabin with a script for a short film. Recognizing its potential, Prabin proposed turning it into a full-length feature film. The result was the movie “Loot”, which became a massive success and provided a lifeline for the struggling actors. Notable Roles: “Loot”: Prabin’s role in this film catapulted him to fame. It was a pivotal moment in his career, especially considering the challenging circumstances at the time. Other Works: Prabin has worked in about 30 theater plays and productions, including a dozen Nepali movies. His acting career began with "Fire in the Monastery". Recent Projects: “The Red Suitcase” (2023): A notable film where Prabin showcased his talent. “Rangeli” (2024): Another recent project that features his remarkable performances. “Year of the Bird” (2016): An earlier work that contributed to his reputation as a versatile actor.
