Jiwan Parajuli

Jiwan Kumar Parajuli professionally known as Jiwan Parajuli is a famous film and Entertainment Journalist & Author from Nepal. He is involved in journalism and has been continuing the work since 2007 AD. On March 19, 2022, Parajuli released a book, Close-up. In the book, Parajuli interviews 61 people related to the Nepali film industry and develops a story from each of them. His non-fictional book is about the multidimensional portrayal of the Nepali film industry through a journalistic lens. Mr. Parajuli is the Immediate Past Vice President of the Film Journalist Association Nepal. In 2007, he started his media career as a technical team member at FM station Radio Upatyaka 87.6MHz in Kathmandu, Nepal. Later on, he started to host some regular film and entertainment shows. He is also the media coordinator of the Film Development Board (Government of Nepal). His interest in films and the entertainment industry made him in a way to work as a professional film journalist. After getting experience with a few other FM stations, national television (Nepal Television), and online portals, he also started his own online news portal "Thuloparda.com". Thuloparda.com, a web portal, and its own YouTube channel Thuloparda TV contribute their service to film and entertainment news content. He has also received recognition for my work. In 2022, he was awarded the "Press Council Beat Journalism Prize" and in 2021, he received the "PIM Nepal Film Festival Excellence in Entertainment Journalism award".

Jitendra Mahat Abhilasi

Jitendra Mahat Abhilasi (1956–2004) was a pioneering Nepali stage, radio, television, and film actor known for his powerful voice, disciplined craft, and exceptional contribution to Nepali performing arts. Born on 11 September 1956 in Kabilas, Nuwakot, he began his artistic journey as a student with a deep interest in theatre and literature. Abhilasi wrote, directed, and acted in his first historical play “Shree 5 Ranabahadur Shah” (1969) and went on to perform in over 482 radio dramas, 460 radio scripts, and more than 60 stage plays. He appeared in around 40 telefilms and over three dozen feature films including Manko Baadh, Basudev, Anyaya, Koseli, Chino, Basanti, Lagangatho, and Simarekha. Renowned for his radio drama legacy and versatile screen presence, Abhilasi remained one of Nepal’s most respected multi‑disciplinary artists until his passing on 27 September 2004.

Anup Neupane

Anup Neupane is a Nepali theatre and film artist recognized for his expressive stage presence and naturalistic screen performances. Born in Melung, Dolakha, he has been active in theatre for many years and is associated with Mandala Theatre and Expert Studio in Kathmandu. In 2022/23, he gained national visibility as a Top 10 contestant on “The Poet Idol,” Nepal’s first poetry‑based reality show, which premiered on AP1 Television on 14 Poush 2079.
