Mallika Karki is one of the famous singers of the country. Originally from a remote village in Morang, she made this far despite a limited opportunity. She has done duet with several national and international artist including Udit Narayan Jha, Kumar Sanu, Ramkrishna Dhakal and Kumar Kancha. She started her singing career in 2064 BS with the duo song with Udit Narayan Jha titled ‘Laaj ko Lali’. She is known for her hits like ‘Yeti Dherai Manche Haru Ko Bhid Maa’, ‘Timile Nasamjhida Maya’, Aakhai Ma Rakhu Ki’ and ‘Kasari Kasari Aayou’. Her melodious voice entitled her to prestigious awards like Kalika Music Award, Sagarmatha Music Award, Music Khabar Music Award and Bindabasini Music Award.

Sujan Chapagain is a prominent Nepali singer, composer, and lyricist, celebrated for his unique blend of traditional Nepali folk elements with contemporary melodies. Born on March 6, 1998, in Bharatpur, Nepal, he developed an early passion for music, influenced by his mother, who is also a singer. He completed his schooling at Narayani Higher Secondary School and pursued a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) at the Ace Institute of Management.  his academic background, Sujan chose to follow his musical aspirations, participating in local competitions and events. Sujan gained widespread recognition with his debut song "Teenpatey," which resonated with audiences and showcased his distinctive musical style. He continued to captivate listeners with hits like "Gala Pukka," "Baaf," and "Lajayera," further establishing his presence in the Nepali music scene. Jerusha Rai is a Nepali indie singer-songwriter and music producer known for her experimental fusion of traditional Nepali folk sounds with contemporary pop, rock, and electronic influences. Born in Kathmandu, she attended St. Mary’s Secondary School and was immersed in Nepali folk music and instruments. Rai relocated to London for university studies and became involved with the Nepali diaspora music scene. Her self-released EP “We All Make Mistapes” gained attention, and her debut album “A Dark Place to Think” (2016) showcased her evocative songwriting. Her second album, “Sunsaan” (2019), explored Nepal’s political turmoil and mental health issues. Rai celebrates her indigenous Kiranti roots and uses music as a medium of healing. In 2023, she mysteriously disappeared after leaving her Kathmandu home without her phone, shocking Nepal’s music scene where she had been praised as a pioneering female indie artist and powerful creative voice. 🎵🌟

Bhakta Raj Acharya commonly referred to as Bhajan Shiromani, is a Nepali singer and music-composer. He is one of the best known singer of Nepal. He was born in Dhankuta ,Nepal and raised in Kalimpong, India. He moved to Nepal in 1970’s during the flock on Darjeeling singers to Nepal. Bhakta Raj Acharya has very beautiful Hymns or Bhajans sung in Nepali language and is entitled as the Bhajan Shiromani of Nepal. Acharya’s career started in 2030 B.S after he won a gold medal in an All Nepal Song Competition . His career spanned until 2046 B.S. He has about 450 recorded songs and has composed about 25-30 songs. Now his sons, Satya Raj Acharya and Sworup Raj Acharya have followed their father’s footsteps with them and have established themselves as promising singers are geared up to bring the real-life story of their father into reel-life.
