Yasoda Parajuli

Sunil Maskey is a revered Nepali music director, flutist, and composer, born on March 24, 1967 in Gorkha, Nepal. He began playing the flute in grade 7 and is entirely self-taught. His musical journey took off in the 1980s, and he formally entered the industry around 1988. Maskey’s signature lies in his soulful flute melodies and emotionally resonant compositions. After a 13-year hiatus to pursue business, he made a powerful comeback in 2010 with the song “Sunibha”. Over the years, he has released multiple solo albums like “Shubh”, “Madhur Milan”, and “Shravani”, each showcasing his unique musical identity.

Now based in the vibrant city of Hyderabad, this singer and music producer isn't afraid to push boundaries. His musical style seamlessly blends genres, incorporating elements of Folk Rock, Pop, and even Hip-hop, resulting in a sound that's both unique and undeniable. Nivangelo's soulful vocals take center stage, whether delivering heartfelt ballads like "Timro Yaad" or weaving his magic on the more upbeat and evocative tracks like "Timi Bahek Afnu Vanne." Saroj Sajan Shrestha (born on December 28, 1985 as Saroj Kumar Shrestha) is a new face in the Nepali music industry. ‘S3’ (Saroj Sajan Shrestha) which was released on December 25, 2015 is his first album. He is a versatile singer and he has sung songs with semi classical, lok fusion, soft rock flavors for the album. He can also compose and write songs. The album ‘S3’ marks the arrival of Shrestha in the industry. Composers Kalyan Singh and Ishwor Magiya are the composers of the album while the lyricists who have penned the songs for S3 are Ravi Malla, Binu Kchitiz and Prakash Kshanik. ‘Paapini’ and ‘Mayalu Ko Desh’ are his popular songs and it has been included in the album of five songs. Others songs of the album are ‘Timile Farkiyera’, ‘Mahasus Garer Hera’ and ‘Mann Antai’. It was launched by legendry singer Prem Dhoj Pradhan, composer Raju Singh and cover designer Anil Staphit among others. From Phalewas, Parbat, Shrestha was inspired by his late father Ram Prasad Shrestha who was a local musician. He later moved to Kathmandu in 2001 where he took music further. And he officially began his musical journey with the song ‘Mahasus Garer Hera’ recorded in 2013. Music is his life and he can’t imagine life without music. For Shrestha, music is the medium to bring about change in the society.

Dhrubesh Chandra Regmi is a celebrated sitar maestro, scholar, and academician from Nepal, known for his profound contributions to classical music and musicology. Born into the illustrious Regmi musical lineage, he is the great-grandson of Pt. Dev Chandra Regmi, who pioneered the sitar tradition in Nepal. Trained under his father, Prof. Satish Chandra Regmi, Dhrubesh began playing sitar at the age of eight and gave his first concert by thirteen. He holds a Ph.D. in Music from Delhi University—the first Nepali musician to do so—with a dissertation on the history of music during the Rana period. He also completed a postdoctoral Fulbright fellowship at the City University of New York on “Music for Peace and Harmony.” A founding member of the acclaimed ensemble Sukarma, Dhrubesh has performed globally and currently serves as a Professor at Padma Kanya Multiple Campus, Tribhuvan University. His legacy bridges tradition, scholarship, and performance.
