Dhana Bahadur was a leading advocate for sarangi preservation, a respected singer, and a dedicated lyric collector from Batulechaur, Pokhara. He is widely remembered as the creator of the evergreen songs “Naraunu Mayalu” and “Beli ra Chameli,” beautifully performed by singer Prabin Gurung. Committed to safeguarding Nepal’s folk heritage, he operated a Sarangi Pathshala, teaching children and youth and nurturing a new generation of sarangi players. He passed away on Magh 11, 2077, leaving behind a legacy that continues to inspire Nepali folk music and sarangi culture.

Sujata KC is a prominent Nepali folk and Teej singer, widely recognized for her expressive vocal style and her contribution to modern, folk, and festival‑based music. Pashupati Sharma is a Nepalese folk singer. Pashupati moved to Kathmandu on 2003 from Putalibazar Municipality Ward Number 3 of Syangja District for his further studies. as he was interested in singing he started singing in Saptakoshi Dohori Sanjh and released his first official song on 2003. Sharma has already sung more than 1000 songs during his career. His songs revolves around patriotism, love and satire One of his latest satire song Lutna Sake Lut was recently forced to remove from YouTube. He is the living legend of folk music industry of Nepal.
