Anuprastha is a Nepali rock band that originated in Kathmandu, Nepal. The name “Anuprastha” comes from Sanskrit, where “Anu” means “music” and “Prastha” means “first.” They blend rock music with Nepali folk tunes, creating a unique sound.
The band gained national fame after winning the Sprite Band Challenge in 2008, which was aired on Nepal’s national TV channel. Their first music video, “Din,” released in 2009, became a hit and is still cherished by fans. They have released several albums and singles, including “Sukha Ra Dukha,” “Guff,” and “Nepal Sworga Bhanda Thulo Cha”.
