Born on 17th February in Sindhuli, Nepal, Megh Lama is a passionate and dedicated modern Nepali singer known for his soulful voice and emotional expression in contemporary Nepali music. Raised in a musically supportive family, with parents Dilli Meghan Ghalan and Selmo Maya Ghalan, he grew up alongside two elder brothers and one elder sister. Although mischievous in childhood, Megh always showed a deep love for music, humming and singing modern Nepali and Hindi songs informally throughout his youth. After completing his schooling at Shree Mahendra Janta Secondary School, he pursued further studies at Chatur Bhujeshwor Multiple College in Sukhepokhari, Sarlahi. It was after his SLC that he decided to turn his musical passion into a professional career. Driven by this dream, he moved to Kathmandu, initially working at a law firm while seeking musical opportunities. Megh Lama formally entered the Nepali music scene with the release of his debut album “Megh” in 2059 BS, marking the beginning of a promising musical journey. In 2063 BS, his second album “Love Station” was released, featuring the widely appreciated track “Naulo Bhasha Aanibani”, which garnered him significant popularity and recognition. His third project, “Maina,” further solidified his presence in the industry. The album was accompanied by two music videos and continued to reflect his growth as a singer and performer. Known for his heartfelt delivery and modern vocal style, Megh Lama continues to be a respected name in Nepali music, with a fan base that appreciates his lyrical depth and emotional connection to the audience.

Bunu Rai Manandhar is a Nepali singer known for her soulful voice, emotional depth, and unique journey into the music world. She was born on December 20 in Tokdah, Darjeeling, as the youngest daughter of D.S. Rai and Bindu Rai. Raised in a family of three sisters, Bunu describes herself as a disciplined yet short-tempered child who didn’t engage in school musical activities despite a deep-rooted love for music. She completed her schooling, higher secondary education, and Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Griffith Higher Secondary School. After graduation, she moved to Kathmandu to pursue a career in music. However, life had other plans, and she began working as a pre-primary teacher at Gyanodaya School. While juggling teaching and personal responsibilities, she frequently traveled between Nepal and Darjeeling to complete her remaining academic work. Though she never took formal music lessons, her passion led her to join a local band named “Aarti” as the lead vocalist. This marked the beginning of her stage performances at various local events. Self-taught and dedicated, Bunu practiced regularly at home and honed her craft on her own terms. Her first major breakthrough came when she participated in the prestigious Narayan Gopal Sandhya Sajh, where she secured a spot among the Top 10 performers. This encouraged her to record her first few songs: "Yo Hariyali" composed by Shila Bahadur Moktan "Juna Ko Chaya" featured in Rocky Thapa’s collection album After a long hiatus of 20 years, Bunu made a stunning comeback with her debut solo album “Imagination”, released in 2024. Since then, she has been actively promoting the album and reconnecting with audiences through music. Popular Songs by Bunu Rai Manandhar Korera Prem Patra (ft. Suraj Pandit is a powerful voice from Jumla, Nepal, known for his evocative songwriting, soulful singing, and socially conscious music direction. Born on February 23, 1991, in Maliabid-4, Chandannath Municipality, he rose to prominence with the viral hit “Railko Bato”, a song that poignantly captures the struggles of life in Karnali and the stark contrast with urban privilege. His music often blends folk and contemporary styles, with lyrics that challenge inequality and celebrate resilience. Suraj writes, composes, and performs many of his songs, including “Singha Durbar”, “Maya Basyo Jumla Bazaarma”, and “Tamra Manma”. Despite early hardships and working as a forest guard, he pursued music relentlessly, earning accolades like the Bindhyabasini Music Jury Award, Rara National Music Award, and Radio Kantipur’s Best New Singer.
