Gyanendra Bahadur Deuja is one of Nepal’s most influential film directors, screenwriters, and visual innovators, celebrated for introducing new cinematic techniques and for directing some of the most culturally significant films in Nepali cinema. Active since 1997, he is known for blending social issues, emotional storytelling, and technical experimentation in his films.Before entering cinema, Deuja served as a Deputy Director at Nepal Rastra Bank, balancing a parallel career in banking and filmmaking—an uncommon achievement in the industry. His artistic foundation began at Aarohan Theatre (now Gurukul), where he trained alongside respected Nepali actors and directors.His mentor, senior director Resh Raj Acharya, guided him through early work as chief assistant director in major tele-serials and films such as Sparsh, Dushman, Aama, Bandhan, and Tuhuro.

Dinesh D.C., whose full name is Dinesh Raj Dahal, is a prominent figure in the Nepali entertainment industry. He has made significant contributions as a film director, producer, actor, and TV presenter. Over the years, he has directed and acted in several acclaimed Nepali films, including Maya's Bar and Chha Ekan Chha. His work has earned him numerous awards, such as the National Film Award for Best Director. Beyond his film career, Dinesh D.C. has also been involved in broadcasting, serving as the Station Head of Kantipur Television Network and Station Manager of Radio Kantipur. In 2019, he was honored with the Prabal Janasewa Shree award for his contributions to Nepalese society.

B.S. Thapa is recognized as one of the early pillars of Nepali cinema, contributing as a director, writer, and actor during the formative decades of the industry. He is best known for directing the acclaimed film Manko Baadh (1973), which earned strong appreciation for its emotional depth and social storytelling. Thapa also worked on several influential projects that helped shape the narrative style of Nepali films in the 1970s and 1980s, bringing literary sensitivity and dramatic realism to the screen. His commitment to character‑driven stories and disciplined filmmaking made him a respected figure among his contemporaries. Through his films, mentorship, and long-standing dedication to the craft, B. S. Thapa played a meaningful role in strengthening the foundation of Nepali cinema.

He is the writer and director of Laalimaa (2026), one of Nepal’s most talked‑about social‑drama films, based on the struggles, trauma, and lived realities of women forced into prostitution. His storytelling blends psychological depth, social justice themes, and character‑driven emotional arcs. Miraz is also the Founder‑Director of FAITH (Friends Affected & Infected Together in Hand), an organization established in 2005 that works in social advocacy and community‑based empowerment. He has been active as a filmmaker with 21 Filmdocs since 2012, producing both fiction and non‑fiction works across Kathmandu and Hamburg.
