Upendra Subba (born 26 September 1971, Angsarang, Panchthar) is a leading Nepali poet, lyricist, writer, and filmmaker, widely respected for his role in shaping modern Nepali literature and cinema. A co‑founder of the influential literary movement Srijanshil Arajakta (Creative Anarchy) with Rajan Mukarung and Hangyug Agyat, Subba’s work blends Limbu cultural identity with contemporary social themes.His acclaimed literary contributions include poetry collections such as Dada Mathi Ko Gham Jun Ra Gadtirka Raake Bhut Haru (2002), Hongrayo Bhog Ra Pangra (2004), Kholako Gita Ra Purana Kavitaharu (2013), and the celebrated short‑story collection Lato Pahad (2014), which later inspired the film Keba Kokma.In cinema, Subba is known for his long collaboration with director Ram Babu Gurung, contributing to hit films including Kabaddi, Kabaddi Kabaddi, and Kabaddi Kabaddi Kabaddi. He made his directorial debut with Jaari (2023), earning multiple national awards for screenplay, story, and direction. His recent works include Mansarra (2024) and Jaari 2 (2025).He has received major honors including the Padmashree Sahitya Puraskar for Lato Pahad and multiple national film awards for writing and dialogue.

Suraj Subba Nalbo is a Nepali film director, writer, and producer known for his work in commercial and youth‑focused Nepali cinema. Active since the early 2010s, he gained recognition with films such as Ma Ta Timrai Hoon, Bhaire, Love You Baba, Katha Kathmandu, and Saayad 2, establishing himself as a director who blends emotional storytelling with contemporary urban themes. His films often explore youth psychology, relationships, and social transitions, supported by clean visual presentation and accessible narrative style. Nalbo has also contributed to Nepali cinema as a writer and producer, making him one of the versatile creators in modern mainstream filmmaking.

Tulsi Ghimire is a celebrated figure in Nepali cinema, known for his multifaceted contributions as a director, screenwriter, editor, actor, and lyricist. Born on July 15, 1951, in Kalimpong, India, he initially worked in Bollywood before transitioning to Nepali films. His debut as a director came with the movie Bansuri in 1981. He is best known for directing iconic Nepali films such as Kusume Rumal (1985), Lahure (1989), Deuta (1991), Dakshina (1994), and Darpan Chhaya (2001). Many of these films became blockbusters and are celebrated for addressing social issues and portraying deep human emotions. His work has left an indelible mark on the Nepali film industry.

Ghanashyam Lamichhane is a Nepali filmmaker and director from Pokhara, active in cinema since 2000. Beginning his creative journey in theatre in 1998, he transitioned into film direction and established himself through works such as Dhauli (2014), Panche Baja (2018), Agnidahan (2017), London to Paris, and Chitra (2024). He has also directed TV serials including Aadha Khusi and Karkale Mamako Chautari, and produced the latter. With over 20 music videos, multiple documentaries, short films, and seven feature films, Lamichhane is recognized for his grounded storytelling and was honored with the Special Jury Award by the Film Development Board for Agnidahan in 2018.
