Anil Budha Magar is an award‑winning Nepali film director, writer, and independent filmmaker known for his powerful storytelling rooted in the socio‑cultural and political realities of Nepal’s remote regions. Born in Taksera, Eastern Rukum, he represents a new generation of filmmakers bringing authentic rural narratives to national and international audiences.Active since 2012, Magar began his career with the acclaimed short film Lomba (The Leadership), which won five awards and received nominations at seven international film festivals. His work is characterized by deep research, cultural sensitivity, and a commitment to telling stories of marginalized communities.

Deepak Rayamajhi was a celebrated Nepali film director and producer widely regarded as a key figure in shaping modern commercial Nepali cinema. Known for introducing fresh faces, stylish visuals, and contemporary storytelling, he played a major role in defining the look and rhythm of Nepali films during the 1980s and 1990s. Rayamajhi directed several successful films, including Bhagya Rekha, Kasam, Aafno Manche, Aafno Ghar Aafnai Manche, and Ghar Sansar, helping launch and elevate the careers of many actors. Hira Singh Khatri is regarded as one of the earliest architects of Nepali cinema, best known for directing Aama (1964), the first Nepali feature film produced in Nepal under the Royal Nepal Film Corporation. Samten Bhutia is a Nepali filmmaker, screenwriter, and theatre‑trained storyteller known for his visually grounded, character‑driven approach to cinema.
