Roshan Miraz is a Nepali film director, screenwriter, and lyricist known for creating socially conscious cinema rooted in real‑life experiences. He is the writer and director of Laalimaa (2026), one of Nepal’s most talked‑about social‑drama films, based on the struggles, trauma, and lived realities of women forced into prostitution. His storytelling blends psychological depth, social justice themes, and character‑driven emotional arcs.
Miraz is also the Founder‑Director of FAITH (Friends Affected & Infected Together in Hand), an organization established in 2005 that works in social advocacy and community‑based empowerment. He has been active as a filmmaker with 21 Filmdocs since 2012, producing both fiction and non‑fiction works across Kathmandu and Hamburg.
