Hem Lama was a Nepali film producer and director known for his involvement in the film Aadarsha Nari (1984). Originally a Nepali from Burma (Myanmar), he later moved to Nepal and established a business called Universal Packers Movers, a packing and moving company. Alongside his entrepreneurial work, Lama developed a strong interest in filmmaking. With the support of his brothers Manoj Pakhrin and B.P. Pakhrin, he wrote the story, screenplay, and dialogues for Aadarsha Nari and produced the film through Hem’s Experimental Movies Production. His work represents one of the independent filmmaking efforts in Nepal during the 1980s.

He joined TTV in 2009 and directed popular shows such as War of DJ, The Flop Show, Cyber Sansaar (first gadgets and gizmos show in Nepal) and Little Champs (the first reality show from Private Channel in Nepali Television History). He is a graduate in Digital Filmmaking from SAE Institute, Australia. Mr. Sherpa has also worked on several international projects. In 2013, he joined an International Production House in Dubai called Studio 52 and worked for more than one year as the Director, he returned to Nepal in 2015 and has started working with CNN. As a Freelance Producer at CNN, he delivers video footage, still pictures, and stories from in and around Nepal that CNN uses on its platforms. Mr. Sherpa who joined AP1 HD TV in 2016 has been working in popular Television show includes Idea Studio Season 5, Tamasoma Jyotirgamaya, Glamour Guff and Rajatpat. He has directed more than 100 music videos, several TVCs, documentary films, and corporate videos. Phurba Sherpa is the producer/ director of the show Tamasoma Jyotirgamaya which has been included by World Book of Records, London for keeping the highest altitude television talk show filmed at 5550 meters at Everest base camp. Beginning his career as a VJ and model, he went on to direct over 600 music videos, introducing cinematic style, fresh aesthetics, and youth‑driven storytelling. Nembang made his feature‑film debut with the hit romantic drama Sano Sansar (2008), followed by Kohi Mero (2010). Known for his creativity, discipline, and trend‑setting vision, he remains a defining figure in Nepal’s contemporary visual and musical landscape.
