She also studied under her Aunty Dukuna Newar and Accuired in good background in folk music and was trained by shree Badri Vyas in Rajasthani Folk Music. Early Carrer & Acheivements After coming to Guwahati , She Joined Production company “Surganga” Which has date released 40 Albums of Rajasthani folk songs, 10 asamese, 4 Bodo Albums & 10 Nepali Albums. 2003, proved to be a very crucial year in her life. This year on 30th October, she participated in all India musical competation prganaize by surganga. The programme was based on Assames and Rajasthani Folk songs and the pragramme was judged by Famous Musical Maestro of Bollywood late Naushad Ali and Famous Gazal Singer Pinaz Masani accompained by famous classical singer Shushila Rani Patel. Milan was the 1st runner up on this show and after this there was no looking back. After this competation she dedicated to lounch her own album of folk songs and her musical catrrer begain to flourish. Rhythm Kandel is a versatile Nepali musician, composer, arranger, and performer known for his soulful voice and refined musical craftsmanship. Originally from Kathmandu, he holds a Master’s degree in Vocal Music from Rabindra Bharati University in Kolkata, India, and a Professional Certificate in Logic Pro X from Berklee College of Music, Boston. He is a multi-instrumentalist and a prolific music arranger, having worked on a wide range of projects—from devotional compositions to film scores. Notably, he contributed to the Guinness World Record-holding song “Melancholy” and arranged music for Nepali films like Timi Sanga and Ma Yesto Geet Gauchu 2. Durga Prasad Khatiwada is a renowned Nepali bansuri (flute) maestro, educator, and cultural ambassador, originally from Ilam. A graduate of Banaras Hindu University with a Master’s in Flute (2003), he has performed in over 20 countries, representing Nepal at prestigious events—including during state visits by leaders like Xi Jinping and Narendra Modi. Khatiwada is a music officer at Rastriya Nachghar and has taught classical music at institutions like Lalit Kala Campus and Sirjana College of Fine Arts. He pioneered flute education in Nepal’s higher education system by developing formal curricula. His international teaching includes sessions in Norway, Sweden, Germany, and France. Inspired early on by Gopal Yonjan, Khatiwada has dedicated his life to promoting classical music as the foundation of all musical forms. His performances and teachings emphasize peace, discipline, and cultural identity, making him a vital figure in Nepal’s musical heritage.
