Rabindra Singh Baniya, the world of light, camera and action began with a street play called ‘Prajatantra’ written and directed by Mohan Niraula. There has been no looking back for him who has captivated the theatre world with his phenomenal acting and directorial skill. Rabindra has recently debuted in a silver screen with ‘Talakjung Vs Tulke’—a new release in Nepali movie brigade. Get this straight—Rabindra is not the serious man that his film ‘Talakjung Vs Tulke’ has portrayed him to be. In person, he is just a guy next door: emotional, sensitive yet strong and stubborn. Moreover, he is a person who is an enduring listener and enjoys a good laugh. If he is serious about anything at all, it is his love for acting. Since his childhood, he has always had a keen interest in watching movies however he never thought of acting as a career option. He would say that he became actor by coincidence. Rabindra came to Kathmandu for his higher education but instead joined Pariwartan Nepal for acting course. Today with more than 20 street dramas performed in more than 200 places around Nepal, Rabindra has successfully carved his name as one of the most recognized face in Nepali theatre industry. Besides, acting, directing and producing movies, little known is that Rabindra also has keen interest in agro-entrepreneurship and has co-founded “Green Gold Farm House”.

Samapika Gautam is a talented Nepali actress and theatre artist known for her contributions to both stage and screen. She has starred in films such as Basenji (2023), Kokro (2019), Jante Bakhro (2025), and Khel (2025). Beyond her work in film, Samapika is deeply involved in theatre and has been an advocate for using Forum Theatre as a tool for civic engagement in Nepal. She believes in the power of participatory theatre to address social issues and empower communities. Her performances in productions like Guilty or Not Guilty have showcased her versatility and ability to captivate audiences. With a strong presence in Nepal’s theatre scene, she continues to push boundaries and contribute to the growth of performing arts in the country.

Maotse Gurung is a talented Nepali actor, writer, and director from Pokhara. He has made significant contributions to the Nepali film industry and is known for his remarkable performances in various movies. Some of his notable works include: Daya Rani (2024): in this film maotse work as a director. Manko Babari (2017): In this film, Maotse Gurung played a key role as a writer. Shirsuba (2020): Another project where he showcased his writing skills. Purano Dunga (2016): Maotse Gurung’s involvement in this film further highlights his versatility as an actor and writer. His filmography extends beyond these, with roles in other movies such as “Dimag Kharab”, “Jai Ho”, and “Kabaddi”. Maotse Gurung’s talent and dedication have left a lasting impact on the Nepali cinema scene.

Subhadra Adhikari was a revered Nepali actress whose artistic journey spanned more than six decades across film, theatre, radio, and television. Born in 2004 B.S. (1947/48 A.D.) in Asan, Kathmandu, she displayed exceptional talent from childhood—performing classical dance at age five at Saraswati Sadan (Camp) and beginning her acting career at age six through the Newari stage play ‘Kachimcha’ (काँचो माटो). Her debut film Manko Bandh marked the beginning of a prolific screen career. She went on to act in over one hundred Nepali films, earning admiration for her expressive performances in classics such as Chino, Kanyadan, Basudev, Bato Muniko Phool, Muna Madan, Basanti, Swarga, Saubhagya, and many others. She also appeared in notable titles including Jeevan Rekha, Badlido Aakash, Pirati, Maya Preeti, Bhauju, Mangalsutra, Behuli, Karja, Kathmandu, Dashgaja, and more—winning the hearts of audiences through diverse roles. Honored with the Chalachitra Dhirgha Sadhana Samman, Subhadra Adhikari remains one of Nepal’s most enduring and respected performing artists.
