Shree Purush Dhakal

Bijay Shivakotee is a respected Nepali lyricist and poet active since 1986, celebrated for his emotionally resonant, conversational writing style. His songs—including Bihani Seet Bani, Mero Pani Yaad Aaucha, Chaina Jun, and Thaha Chaina Kun Mod—have become enduring favorites, shaping modern Nepali music with their simplicity, depth, and lasting cultural impact.

Lochan Rijal is a multi-instrumentalist, a singer, songwriter and a scholar of ethnomusicology. Born in the Panchthar district of Nepal, he grew up around music performed at festivals by the local people of that region. The experience influenced him to explore the potential of sound and develop his passion into his profession. While in college, he began teaching music to school children in Kathmandu while also working in the pop and rock music scene, producing award-winning albums, before moving onto something that fed his scholarly ambitions. In 2014, he graduated with a PhD in ethnomusicology from the University of Massachusetts and Kathmandu University. He also works as the associate professor and Head of Kathmandu University’s Department of Music.

Pawan Chamling is widely known as a politician, but he has also made contributions as a poet and writer. He has received several literary awards, including the Poets’ Foundation Award for lifetime achievement in literature and the Bhanu Puraskar from the Sikkim Sahitya Parishad. Additionally, he has been involved in creative projects such as the films Ma ta Sikkime (2011) and Hajar Juni Samma (2019). Nakul Karki is a talented Nepali lyricist, music arranger, singer, and performer. He has made significant contributions to the Nepali music industry with his captivating lyrics, compositions, and performances.
