Born in Solukhumbu in 20th Jan and trained in the Gharanas or traditional song houses of Lucknow in India like Bhat Khande Maha Vidhalaya. He also received his education in the same country where his father was in the Army. His range extends from sentimental songs to romantic songs, to classical songs of the Mughal courts, sometimes combining’s all three. His irresistible heartwarming voice has lent itself to over a thousand songs including bhanjans or religious songs, songs of love but he is known for ghazals or the beautiful Indian almost Mughal tradition of rhyming songs of love and loss or the memories of love. He has sung Kishore Kumar's songs in popular programmes worldwide as well as his very typical Ananda Karki ghazals. Kishore Kumar's was known for his love songs, popular songs and sheer finger clicking dance songs. Ananda mastered them all with amazing ability. He has sung in over 600 Hindi and Nepali films as a playback singer and acted in Hindi and Nepali serials and was a playback singer in them. He has sing everywhere from the famed Albert Hall in London which every singer's dream to play in: Denmark, Bangkok, Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia, China, Pakistan, Moscow and all over India. In fact his singing conquests worldwide make him a traveler as well as singer. In this Ananda Karki like his peers follows the old troubadour tradition that had singers going from place to place singing and that has become common today. Ananda Karki is the first Nepali to do so. His voice, his songs, his music has won him national and international honors from the late King Queen of Nepal to the prestigious Birendra Aishwarya Padak, Gorkha Dakshin, Zee TV Closeup Sa Re Ga Pa 1998 for best singer, Chhinnalata award for vocal, Kollywood award for best singer in the film Bharia'1997 and Parai ghar' 1999, KTV award for the best playback singer Ma Timi Bina and several other honors and decorations.

Avay Dhungel is a singer, musician and songwriter. Most of the songs they sing, they give their own words and music. Born in Okhaldhunga, Pokali VDC, folk singer Avay Dhungel recently lives in the US. Avay's father Nabin Dhungel is also a popular folk singer. Avay sang 'purbeli kanchho', 'supari jai ko mala', aakashaima are very popular songs, "Sali Bhena" is the most popular song he has given to music. Over two dozen songs have been voiced by Avay Dhungel so far and six albums have been released.

Kamala Shrestha is a celebrated Nepali singer known for her expressive voice and versatility across genres. She was born on Kartik 9, 2005 BS (approximately October 25, 1948 AD) in Kathmandu to Ram Bahadur Shrestha and Indra Maya Shrestha. Kamala began singing as a child and entered the professional music scene around 2024 BS (1967 AD) when she won first prize at a Radio Nepal anniversary competition for her song Naugediko Mala Mero. This marked the beginning of her active musical career, which flourished through the late 1960s, 1970s, and beyond. She was mentored by legendary composer Natikaji, who recognized her talent when she was just 13. Through Radio Nepal, she collaborated with iconic artists like Shiva Shankar and contributed to a wide range of musical styles—bhajans, Newari songs, Bhojpuri numbers, patriotic anthems, folk tunes, and adhunik (modern) songs. Over her career, she recorded more than 400 songs, many of which remain sadabahar (evergreen) classics. Kamala Shrestha also performed internationally, representing Nepal in India, China, Bangladesh, Hong Kong, Japan, and other countries. Her dedication to music continued even after marriage and motherhood, defying social expectations of the time.

Mallika Karki is one of the famous singers of the country. Originally from a remote village in Morang, she made this far despite a limited opportunity. She has done duet with several national and international artist including Udit Narayan Jha, Kumar Sanu, Ramkrishna Dhakal and Kumar Kancha. She started her singing career in 2064 BS with the duo song with Udit Narayan Jha titled ‘Laaj ko Lali’. She is known for her hits like ‘Yeti Dherai Manche Haru Ko Bhid Maa’, ‘Timile Nasamjhida Maya’, Aakhai Ma Rakhu Ki’ and ‘Kasari Kasari Aayou’. Her melodious voice entitled her to prestigious awards like Kalika Music Award, Sagarmatha Music Award, Music Khabar Music Award and Bindabasini Music Award.
