Bimal Dangi is a celebrated Nepali folk singer known for his contributions to the genre of lok dohori. He hails from Juphal-07, Dolpa, Nepal, and has made a significant impact on the Nepali music scene with his soulful voice and engaging performances. Kumar Basnet (born 7 July 1938) is one of Nepal’s most celebrated folk icons, renowned for his energetic performance style, satirical humor, and pioneering contribution to modern lok geet. Widely known as “Lok Samrat”, he popularized comedic and socially reflective folk music through classics like “Lai Bari Lai,” “Ama Bhanda,” “Herda Ramo,” and “Goru Bhanjyang.” Active since the late 1950s, Basnet’s charismatic stage presence earned him comparisons to Elvis Presley within Nepal’s folk scene. His achievements include the Tri‑Shakti Patta, Gorkha Dakshin Bahu, Birendra–Aishwarya Sewa Padak, and the Ratna Record Puraskar, honoring his lifelong impact on Nepali cultural heritage.

Hiranya Bhojpure is a respected Nepali singer, musician, and writer, known for his contributions to folk and modern Nepali music. He was born in Deurali, Bhojpur and became a household name through his work with the Lekali music group, alongside artists like Ganesh Rasik and Urmila Shrestha. His music often reflects themes of Nepali identity, nature, and social issues. Some of his popular songs include: Rato Bhale (with Ganesh Rasik) Lahara Pahara Chhahara Ko Desh Tyamka Daanda Hara Hara Mahadev Paani De Mero Atit Ek Anjuli Ghaam (Album) Bhojpure was also a poet and writer, incorporating his hometown into his artistic identity. Born in Jhapa, Nepal, to Bhumika Devi Upadhyay and Ganga Prasad Sharma, Sharma developed a passion for singing at a young age. He found himself among the top singers of the time. Sharma's contribution to Nepali music was acknowledged when he received the 6th RAPATI MUSIC AWARD in 2074 BS for his exceptional singing skills. Despite the presence of other renowned singers at the peak of their careers, Sharma also made a mark among them. He has actively contributed to the Nepali music industry for over twelve years, delivering melodious tunes that resonate with listeners. In 2074 BS, Sharma released his debut album "RUPAM" which garnered significant attention in the Nepali music market. The album, consisting of five songs, received widespread acclaim and became a topic of discussion in the music circles. For the first time, Sharma found himself featured in an album, presenting him with a golden opportunity. Even amidst the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sharma released songs like "Devadut Haau Timi," specially dedicated to doctors and medical professionals, contributing to the cause while pursuing his musical endeavors.
