Reshma Pun

Badri Pangeni is a renowned Nepalese folk and dohori singer, celebrated for his contributions to Nepali music. Born in Nawalparasi, Nepal, he later moved to Palpa for his schooling. After completing his School Leaving Certificate, he relocated to Kathmandu in 1998 and worked at Pukar Dohori Sanjh for six years. His first album, "Tansen Kasauli," marked the beginning of his musical journey. Over the years, he has sung more than five dozen songs, including hits like "PN Campus," "Beauty Number One," and "Sasurlima," a duet with Sindhu Malla. Badri Pangeni's music often reflects traditional Nepali culture, making him a prominent figure in the genre. He also served as the president of the Nepal Folk Duet Academy, showcasing his dedication to promoting folk music.  

Rapraveen Shrestha is a talented Nepali music composer, arranger, director, and music coordinator, known for his ability to weave sonic innovation with precise technical execution. He is the Founder and Director of Pulse Studio, a dedicated creative space for music production, mixing, and mastering in Nepal. Karmaa Sherpa is a celebrated singer and performer from Darjeeling, currently based in Siliguri, India. She rose to fame through her standout performances on ZEE TV’s Sa Re Ga Ma Pa, earning her the title of a SAREGAMAPA (Fame) artist. She is the founder of KARMA MUSIC ACADEMY, where she mentors aspiring vocalists and nurtures young talent with a blend of classical discipline and contemporary flair. In 2025, Karmaa Sherpa was honored as a Grand Jury Member on Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil' Champs Nepal Season 2, where she helped guide and uplift the next generation of Nepali musical stars. Her presence on the jury panel brought both warmth and expertise to the beloved kids’ singing reality show.

Buddhi Bahadur Pariyar was a gifted Nepali folk composer whose song “Resham Firiri” became a cultural anthem. Born in Pokhara, Pariyar grew up immersed in the rhythms of village life. In 1972, he composed “Resham Firiri Resham Firiri”, inspired by the hills and daily joys of Nepali people. The song was recorded in 1974 by Sunder Shrestha and Dwarika Lal Joshi, and quickly gained national fame. Its catchy tune and relatable lyrics made it a favorite among street performers, travelers, and diaspora communities. Despite its popularity, Pariyar remained largely uncredited, highlighting the struggles of folk creators in Nepal’s music industry. His work reflects the soul of Nepali folk traditions—simple, melodic, and deeply rooted in lived experience. “Resham Firiri” continues to echo across generations, symbolizing the enduring charm of Nepal’s musical heritage.
