Karna Das, born on November 24, 1974, in Pokhara, Nepal, is a celebrated Nepali musician, singer, songwriter, lyricist, composer, and record producer. Often referred to as a "living legend" in Nepali music, he is known for his soothing voice and profound lyrics that explore philosophical and existential themes, perseverance, hope, and patriotism. He began his musical journey as the lead vocalist of the band Madhyanha, with their first song "Jindagi Ko Ke Bharosa" becoming an instant classic. Karna Das is skilled in playing piano, guitar, and bass guitar, and draws inspiration from artists like Elton John, Richard Marx, and Narayan Gopal. Buddhi Bahadur Pariyar was a gifted Nepali folk composer whose song “Resham Firiri” became a cultural anthem. Born in Pokhara, Pariyar grew up immersed in the rhythms of village life. In 1972, he composed “Resham Firiri Resham Firiri”, inspired by the hills and daily joys of Nepali people.
