Neer Bikram Shah, also known as Nir Shah, is a Nepalese movie actor, a poet, lyricist, movie director,media personality and businessman. He is related to the Royal family of Nepal. Neer Shah is the producer or co-producer of many Nepali movies. He has also directed several Nepali movies produced by himself, including Basudev, Pachchis Basanta, Basanti, and a Nepal Bhasa movie Rajamati. He is also a co-producer of the Oscar nominated film Himalaya – l’enfance d’un chef, which was co-produced and directed by the French movie maker Eric Valli. The film, also released as Caravan (in Canada) and Himalaya (in Denmark and France), was the first film from Nepal to win an Oscar nomination.

Pratap Subba was a pioneering Nepali film director, writer, and lyricist from Darjeeling whose work helped shape the early identity of Nepali cinema. Active primarily in the 1970s and 1980s, he directed influential films such as Paralko Aago, Bachna Chahane Haru, Masaal, Kahi Andhyaro Kahi Ujyalo, Didi, Chatyang, and Bhisma Pratigya. Prem Bahadur Basnet is a Nepali film director known for his contribution to the early development of Nepali cinema and for directing the culturally important film Kumari.After completing his B.Ed., Basnet received scholarships to study abroad, including one from a university in Hawaii, USA, and another to study scriptwriting at the Film and Television Institute of India in Pune, India. While many students at the time were going to the United States for higher education, Basnet chose to pursue film studies in Pune because of his strong interest in cinema.He studied there for two years, going to Pune in 1962 and returning to Nepal in 1964. After returning, he worked at Nepal’s Information Department, where he became involved in cultural and media-related activities.Having studied filmmaking, Basnet was more interested in creating original and artistic films rather than purely commercial cinema. During this period, when Nepal was invited to represent the country in international film festivals, he decided to make a film based on the living goddess Kumari tradition of the Newar community in Kathmandu.This idea eventually led to the creation of Kumari, which became an important cultural film portraying Nepal’s traditions and social life. Through his work, Prem Bahadur Basnet helped introduce culturally rooted and artistic storytelling to Nepali cinema.

Nikhil Upreti is a Nepalese film actor, film director, producer and martial artist. The biggest film star of 2000s. In the 2010s, He enjoyed a huge fan following in Nepal, especially in the rural belts of the country. Often regarded as one of the greatest Nepali film stars and stuntmen, his first film was Pinjada, which was released in 2000, in which he jumped from the seven story building of Manipal Hospital in Pokhara, Nepal, without any protection and body double. He has worked in over 200 films, won the Best Actor award in the National Films Award for Hami Tin Bhai. He was awarded the Rastriya Nagarik Swarna Samman in 2006. Upreti is well known for doing his own stunts. Some of his highest grossing movies are Pinjada, Nikhil Dai, Hami Tin Bhai, Dhadkan, Bhairav, and Lootera. After years in Mumbai (home of Bollywood), he was scheduled to direct and act in a Hindi movie called Commitment. He made a comeback to Nepalese Film Industry with 'Bhairav' in 2015, which was a commercial hit. After his return to Ktown, he has given five back to back super hit films such as Bhairav and Lootera
