Veemsen Lama (born 5 December, Chitwan) is a Nepali singer and director active since 2003. He began his career with the recorded remake of the classic Nepali film song “Timi Mero Ma Timro – Maya Chokho Chha Hamro”, originally sung by Asha Bhosle and Indrajit Mijar from the movie Koseli. His remake version was produced with a modern action‑style music video directed by Simos Sunuwar, marking his first major appearance as a singer.Alongside music, Veemsen expanded into filmmaking, directing projects such as @KathaputaliMovie and contributing to the British film KAMA, establishing himself as a creative storyteller working across Nepal and abroad. With an I.Sc. education and interests in adventure, singing, and sports, he continues to balance artistic work with professional life.

Ugen Chhopel (also credited as Ugyen Chopel) is a Nepali film director and screenwriter best known for shaping the emotional, character‑driven style of late‑1980s and 1990s Nepali cinema. He made a landmark debut with the classic Saino (1988), a film that became a cultural milestone and later inspired the Hindi TV series Ajnabi. Chhopel continued his directorial journey with Bandhu (1992), Trishna (1991), Nepali Babu (1999), and the acclaimed fantasy‑drama Badal Paree (2001). His work spans Nepali and Indian productions, marked by emotional depth, strong performances, and cross‑cultural storytelling. Chhopel is also the nephew of actor Danny Denzongpa, linking him to a prominent artistic lineage.

Reshraj Acharya was a respected Nepali film director known for his emotional storytelling and strong command of family and social‑themed cinema. He began his directorial journey with the film Tilhari and went on to direct notable works such as Tuhuro, Mato Bolchha, Bandhan, Aama, Man Muttu Ra Maya, Mayako Saino, Bhagyale Jurayo, Nagad Narayan, and Dharmasankat. His final directorial project was Preetiko Phool. Acharya also directed television serials including Dushman and Aama, and served as assistant director on films like Sapana, Sampatti, and Mayalu. He passed away on Falgun 5, 2078 B.S., at the age of 64.

Pratap Subba was a pioneering Nepali film director, writer, and lyricist from Darjeeling whose work helped shape the early identity of Nepali cinema. Active primarily in the 1970s and 1980s, he directed influential films such as Paralko Aago, Bachna Chahane Haru, Masaal, Kahi Andhyaro Kahi Ujyalo, Didi, Chatyang, and Bhisma Pratigya. Known for his realistic storytelling and strong emotional depth, Subba also contributed memorable lyrics and dialogues that enriched the cultural texture of his films. His commitment to authentic Nepali narratives made him one of the most respected filmmakers of his generation, leaving a lasting legacy in both Nepali and Darjeeling-based cinema.
