Manohar Sunam

Ram Thapa (1958–2008) was a pioneering Nepali folk singer, music director, and Radio Nepal presenter known for his humorous and socially conscious songs. Born in Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu, he began his musical career in 1974 and became a 7th Grade Music Director at Radio Nepal. He sang over 150 folk songs and directed music for more than 200, with hits like Thok Na Madal Thok, Timi Yesai Lajayau, and Ritu Haruma Timi, which was ranked 7th by BBC in 2003. He was the first to publish Nepali music books with lyrics and chords, contributing to music education. Ram Thapa also served as a judge on Nepali Tara I & II, mentoring young talent. He passed away in 2008 due to liver disease.

Additionally, his first co-singer, Shanti Shah, played a vital role in shaping his musical career. Acting Career Besides music, Diwakar Khadka has also made his mark in the Nepali film industry. Some of the movies he has acted in include: Jeevan Rekha Gareeb Hatiyar Sundar Mero Naam Nametine Ghau (Directed by Bijay Thapa) At just 11 years old, he had the opportunity to meet and work with legendary Bollywood actress Mala Sinha during the shooting of the Nepali film Maitighar in Pokhara. International Exposure Diwakar Khadka's career has taken him beyond Nepal, allowing him to travel to various countries, including the USA, Germany, the UK, Japan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, and India. His travels have further enriched his musical and artistic experiences. With a career spanning music, film, and international exposure, Diwakar Khadka remains a celebrated artist in Nepal’s entertainment industry.

She has a strong presence in the music scene and is known for her powerful voice and engaging performances. Some of her popular songs include: “Nabhana Bideshi” with Prakash Saput "Bindass Teej" Nisha Sunar is also recognized for her stage performances and music videos, often featuring top actors from Nepali cinema. She is married to Shankar BC, a prominent dancer and choreographer in Nepal, and they have a daughter together.
