Born in Rolpa, Nepal, in 1989, she overcame a challenging childhood and pursued her dream of becoming a singer from an early age.At the age of sixteen, she moved to Kathmandu to build her musical career and spent several years performing in various Dohori establishments. Born in Okhaldhunga, Pokali VDC, folk singer Avay Dhungel recently lives in the US. Avay's father Nabin Dhungel is also a popular folk singer. Avay sang 'purbeli kanchho', 'supari jai ko mala', aakashaima are very popular songs, "Sali Bhena" is the most popular song he has given to music. Over two dozen songs have been voiced by Avay Dhungel so far and six albums have been released.
