Apart from acting, Niruta is also a talented singer and has contributed to music albums and TV series. After a brief hiatus from the film industry, she returned with the 2019 movie Dal Bhaat Tarkari. In 2023, she was honored with one of Nepal's highest civilian awards, the Prabal Jana Sewa Shree.
