Renowned Nepali songwriter and lyricist, singer, musician NB Dahal (Nar Bahadur Dahal) has made significant contributions to Nepali music in various genres. More than 60 songs of N. B. Dahal are public, some are sung by him and some are in the role of composer or lyricist. He has collaborated with a dozen famous artists.

Hercules Basnet is a music director, lyricist, singer and composer born and raised in Kamal Pokhari in the capital city of Nepal. Hercules Basnet has been the man behind some of the most beautiful movie soundtracks in the last five years. While he has been active since long, he started making it big in 2014 when his Jerryy soundtracks, 'K Yo Maya Ho' and 'Chahanchu Timilai', came out. And well, as they say, the rest is history.

Hiranya Bhojpure is a respected Nepali singer, musician, and writer, known for his contributions to folk and modern Nepali music. He was born in Deurali, Bhojpur and became a household name through his work with the Lekali music group, alongside artists like Ganesh Rasik and Urmila Shrestha. His music often reflects themes of Nepali identity, nature, and social issues. Some of his popular songs include: Rato Bhale (with Ganesh Rasik) Lahara Pahara Chhahara Ko Desh Tyamka Daanda Hara Hara Mahadev Paani De Mero Atit Ek Anjuli Ghaam (Album) Bhojpure was also a poet and writer, incorporating his hometown into his artistic identity. His work helped shape Nepali music by blending traditional elements with modern storytelling.

Saran Kumar Pradhan (1943–1974) was one of Darjeeling’s most gifted lyricists, composers, and mandolin virtuosos, shaping the golden era of modern Nepali music. Born on 4 May 1943, he grew up in a culturally vibrant Darjeeling and taught himself banjo, harmonium, and mandolin with remarkable mastery. A science graduate from St. Joseph’s College, he later taught at St. Robert’s School, where he also composed the school anthem. A student of maestro Amber Gurung, Saran emerged as a leading figure of Adhunik music alongside Aruna Lama, whom he married in 1963. Their partnership produced timeless classics such as “Yaha Ful Nakhili Cha,” “Sabaile Bhanthe,” “Hera Na Hera Kancha,” and many others. His music club Sangeet Sangam became a creative hub that nurtured Darjeeling’s finest talents. Saran passed away in 1974 at just 31, leaving behind a luminous body of work that continues to define Nepali musical heritage.
