Purushottam Pradhan is a well known cinematographer with more than 200 Nepali movies credit. He is from the beautiful Himalayan country of Kathmandu Nepal. Currently he lives in Kathmandu Nepal.He was born in 27th June. He won National Nepali Film Award in 2016.

Nisal Poudel is a Nepali cinematographer and Director of Photography active since 2023, known for his visual work in the feature films Kausid (2023) and Kalli. A graduate of Oscar International College (8th Batch), he represents the new generation of Nepali DOPs trained in modern film theory, visual language, and narrative‑driven cinematography.His work emphasizes naturalistic lighting, grounded realism, and character‑focused framing, bringing emotional depth to rural and contemporary Nepali stories. With a growing portfolio and collaborations on emerging Nepali films, Poudel is steadily establishing himself as one of the promising young cinematographers shaping Nepal’s evolving visual style.

Shambhu Sapkota is a Nepali cinematographer from Panauti, active in Nepali cinema since 1994, known for his extensive body of work across commercial and dramatic films. He has shot more than 50 feature films, contributing to the visual style of late‑1990s and 2000s Kollywood. His early credit includes Sadak (1994), and he continued through major titles such as Thuldai (1999), A Mero Hajur (2002), Kismat (2007), Ma Timi Bina Marihalchu (2008), and Rhythm (2013). His career reflects consistency, technical reliability, and long‑term collaboration with leading directors of the era.

Starting from his early career in the late 1980s, Deepak Dhakal emerged as a dedicated Nepali cinematographer known for his steady contribution to commercial and social‑themed Nepali cinema. He made his debut as a cinematographer with Sindoor and went on to work in more than 20 feature films, shaping the visual tone of 1990s and early‑2000s Nepali filmmaking.Dhakal’s filmography includes notable titles such as Shanti Deep (1989), Cheli Beti (1990), Pheri Bhetaula (1990), Didi (1992), Chokho Maya (1993), Chatyang (1994), Chahana (1994), Sarangi (1994), and Pahilo Prem (1997). His work is remembered for its grounded visual style, clarity in storytelling, and commitment to traditional Nepali cinematographic techniques.Beyond filmmaking, Dhakal served as a professor at Oscar International College, Nepal’s only dedicated film‑teaching institute, and was an active member of NEFTA, contributing to the professional development of the industry. He passed away on 3 December 2015 due to a brain hemorrhage, leaving behind a respected legacy in Nepali cinema.
