Red cap, white hand bands, white scarf, a locket having picture of eagle and leopard, loose clothes and long pants. Guess who’s he? Off course, he’s Nirnaya Shrestha AKA Nirnaya da NSK. He is the naughty soul kid of Nepali music without whom hip-hop or Rap music can’t even be imagined. While other musicians appeared and then disappeared, none were able to match Nirnaya’s standards. Nirnaya was born on 15th Feb. in Birgunj . His father Dr. Shantinath Shrestha went to America to complete his PHD and Nirnaya too moved with him in 1988. Nirnaya joined school in America but carried on guitar classes. He had X-factor in music from very beginning. He participated on most of his school shows. His singing career started from his very Mt. Loghl schooling in 1990. During those times, rap music was in its growth stage. Since, one could express all his life in a single song easily and could connect with the listeners; he was strongly influenced by it so he learned it. He also bagged president of frequency award in eighth standard. As soon as his father completed his PhD, Nirnaya came back to his land and joined St. Xavier School. He had to take tuitions for basic Nepali alphabet. With a view to introduce rap songs among Nepali listeners, he joined image fm in 1999 and started hosting a program name “Bring the house down”. Later after 5 months, he started recording an album for the same name with his group, “Nirnaya and Da’ all stars”. His group mates were Samir, Pranav Joshi, Shakeel and others. The failure of his group was his group mates’ different musical interests. Then after, Nirnaya joined Samrat. They jointly recorded a song Jhilili….. This song strengthened their relationship. In the mean time Rinchin also joined the team. The motive behind naming their group as “The Rappers’ Union” was just an idea of uniting the rappers. “The rappers’ union” released their first album, “For u all” in 2000. It also included English songs like “For u all” and “The game must go on”. More than 1000 CDs were sold by the Rappers’ Union themselves.

With idiosyncrasy in Aadhunik and Nepali filmy songs, Raju Singh is one of those heads in Nepali Music Industry who has expertise in time conditional music creation and rules most of the antros on radios and TVs. Born on Mangsir 26th 2026 in Kathmandu, Putalisadak as the eldest son of senior musician late. Bhagat Singh. Raju Singh has a brother and four sisters in his family. His whole family is music-loving. His brother Kalyan Singh and sister Dhanusha Singh too have an inclination towards music. Having risen in a musical environment, he was influenced by music in his early childhood and hence decided to do something in music industry. He says that his family was a factor which induced a sense of responsibility and challenge in him. Disciplined and hard working from his early life, Raju Singh post graduated from Tribhuvan University and holds a similar degree in music too. He did Diploma from London University in Eastern music. Raju gives credit for his success to his family’s musical background and hard work. He was told that Nepali musicians aren’t educated. He was moved by this statement and hence he carried his education along with music. He is dedicated towards Nepali music and at the same time he teaches in well established colleges both music and other subjects. Most of the songs, whose musical compositions are done by Raju Singh, are big hit. Because of this he considers himself as a luck favored person. He’s given music in more than 500 songs and released 20 plus albums. He has also worked as judge in numbers of musical programs. He has worked with all genres of singers ranging from new to old. We can’t ignore the fact that most of the songs that have gained and are gaining popularity are Raju’s creation.

Deeya Pun, a talented Nepali actress, made her debut in the Nepali movie industry with the film “Bir Bikram”, which was released on August 18, 2016. Apart from acting, Deeya has also worked as a model and appeared in a Nepali music video directed by the same film’s director, Milan Chams. Her mother was also featured in some Nepali movies. Interestingly, Deeya’s background is quite diverse. She was born in Hong Kong and later moved to the United Kingdom at the age of nine. Despite spending most of her life abroad, she remains well-acquainted with Nepali culture. In her debut movie, “Bir Bikram,” Deeya portrayed the role of a simple village girl. In a remarkable achievement, Deeya Pun became the second Nepali actress to conquer Mount Everest. She reached the peak on May 27, 2022, joining an elite group of mountaineers. Prior to her Everest expedition, Deeya had already climbed Argentina’s 6,961-meter peak and the 8,163-meter tall Manaslu peak. Her passion for mountaineering and acting exemplifies her adventurous spirit. Deeya Pun’s journey is a testament to her determination and versatility, whether she’s gracing the silver screen or scaling the world’s highest peaks!
