Pavitra Acharya is a Nepali actress, choreographer, and casting director known for her versatile presence across film and music videos. She made her silver‑screen debut with Vijaypath (2012), sharing the frame with Nikhil Upreti, Sushil Kshetri, and Sanchita Luitel. She later appeared opposite Rajesh Hamal in Rajniti and featured in Aaveg alongside Aryan Sigdel. Trained in dance from a young age, Acharya expanded her creative path into choreography, beginning with Komal Oli’s Teej song and later crafting dance sequences for dozens of music videos and films including Commander and Mela. Having worked with leading stars such as Karishma Manandhar, Anoop Bikram Shahi, Aanchal Sharma, Salon Basnet, and others, she now also contributes as a casting director, currently serving as the Central Co‑Treasurer of the Nepal Film Artists Association and working on the film Kashyap.

Samarpan Lama, an exceptionally talented dancer, has left an indelible mark on the Indian entertainment scene. Let’s delve into his fascinating journey: Background and Family: Samarpan hails from Pune, Maharashtra. His parents, originally from Nepal, migrated to India in search of work several years ago. His father, Dimdung Dheeren, works abroad and visits the family once every 2-3 years. Samarpan’s mother, a homemaker, resides in Pune. He has a brother named Sudhir Lama. Dancing Passion: Samarpan’s journey as a dancer began in 2020, without any formal training. He followed international dancers on YouTube to learn and hone his skills. In 2021, he auditioned for the Nepali TV channel OSR Reality and participated in the TV show Dance Champion. India’s Best Dancer Season 3: In 2023, Samarpan auditioned for India’s Best Dancer Season 3. Initially rejected in the digital audition round, he later received a call to showcase his live performance in Mumbai. His journey was not about winning; he aimed to learn and enjoy the process. However, destiny had other plans. In the grand finale, on 30 September 2023, Samarpan was declared the winner of the show. Reflecting on his victory, he expressed gratitude for the platform and the impact it had on his growth as a dancer. Bhairav Bahadur Thapa (born 18 February 1933 AD / 1989 Falgun 6 BS, Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu) was a pioneering Nepali dancer, choreographer, and scholar widely regarded as one of the earliest architects of Nepali folk‑dance staging. His creative works began appearing from 2007 BS (1950/51 AD), and he formally entered the field of dance direction around 2010 BS (1953/54 AD) through the Bhairav Nritya Dal, established under the initiative of playwright Balkrishna Sama. This marked the beginning of his influential artistic journey.Thapa revitalized Nepali folk and cultural dance by presenting it on national and international stages, giving the genre a new identity and professional structure. He authored several foundational texts, including Nepali Nritya ra Sharirik Praveshika Parts 1–3 (2022 BS / 1965 AD), Dhoka (2030 BS / 1973 AD), Hiddahiddai Baneka Tasbirharu (2065 BS / 2008 AD), Samarpan (2067 BS / 2010 AD), and Himal Natya Mimansa (2072 BS / 2015 AD), which remain important references in Nepali dance studies.Honored with recognitions such as the Jagdamba Shree Samman and Bhim Darshan Roka Memorial Award, Thapa’s contributions shaped the academic, cultural, and performative landscape of Nepali dance.He passed away after a lifetime dedicated to dance, leaving behind a legacy that continues to guide Nepal’s choreographic and cultural scholarship.
