

Man Ko Bandh
Man Ko Bandh is an early Nepali social drama and the first film produced by the Royal Nepal Film Corporation (RNFC). The Government of Nepal established RNFC in 2028 B.S. (1971/72 AD) to develop and promote the national film industry. Directed by Prakash Thapa, the film features lead performances by Salyan K.C. and Sushma Shahi. The music was composed by Nati Kaji and Shiva Shankar, while the background score was arranged by Amber Gurung. The film premiered in 2030 B.S. (1973 AD) in Kathmandu. The story revolves around characters whose lives are affected by love, misunderstandings, and social pressure. As conflicts arise between personal feelings and family duties, the characters must make difficult decisions. Through emotional situations and dramatic events, the film highlights themes of sacrifice, reconciliation, and the importance of honesty in relationships.
