Shankar Shrestha

Starting from his early creative journey in the 1990s, Akash Adhikari (born January 5, 1970) is a prominent Nepali actor, director, producer, writer, and lyricist, recognized for his strong and dignified presence in the Nepali film industry. He has released 19 feature films in Nepal and abroad, establishing himself as one of the most versatile and influential figures in contemporary Nepali cinema.Adhikari made a glorious directorial debut with Ranabhoomi (1998), winning Best Director and Best Movie awards. Since then, he has acted in and directed several acclaimed films, including Panchhi (2001), Daag (2001), Krodh (2006), Shasan (2011), Kathmandu (2010), Kohinoor (2014), and Kanchhi (2018).He is also the founder and CEO of The Sky Movies Pvt. Ltd., established in 1999 A.D., through which he has produced and directed numerous successful films. His contributions extend to screenwriting, story writing, research, production design, and lyric writing, making him one of the most multi‑disciplinary creators in Nepali cinema.Adhikari has been honored with several prestigious awards, including the Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Award 2023 for Best Actor/Director, the Prawal Jana Sewa Padak 2019, and the National Professional Achievement Award 2021.

Sahayog Raj Adhikari is a Nepali actor active in contemporary cinema, known for his appearance in the feature film Ek Mutthi Badal (2026). He is also recognized for his involvement in the award‑winning documentary short YATRA, which won Best Documentary Short Film at the Human Rights Film Festival (2023).

Rimla Moktan is a beloved Nepali singer known for the sweetness and clarity of her voice, heard in memorable songs such as “Mirmire Bihan Surya Ko Darshan Tiger Hillai Ma,” “Phalelungma Hiu Paryo Danphe Jharyo Sirikhola,” and others. Born in Darjeeling, she studied at Nepali Kanya Higher Secondary School (Boarding School), where she later returned as a teacher. Her musical journey began remarkably early—at just five or six years old—when she started learning classical music under Guru Madhu Singh.Her formal artistic path took shape under the guidance of Chandan Lomjel, who provided her special training and introduced her to competitive performance. Under his mentorship, she participated in the Darjeeling Gorkha Dukha Nivarak Sammelan Music Competition around 1981, performing songs composed by Chandan Lomjel with lyrics by P. Arjun and Puran Giri. She also sang a duet with Lakpa Sherpa, winning awards in both duet and group categories, and securing first place in the Lok‑Adhunik category—a milestone that marked her full entry into the musical field.Rimla continued her classical training with Guru Chittaranjan Mishra, and after he returned to Odisha, she studied under renowned sitar maestro Tri Ratna Tuladhar, with whom she still consults whenever she seeks deeper musical refinement. Through Chandan Lomjel, she also met composer Manikamal Chhetri, who offered her the opportunity to sing in Pratap Subba’s musical drama “Mrigtishna,” where she performed classical raga‑based compositions.With her grounding in classical discipline, her Darjeeling musical heritage, and her naturally melodious voice, Rimla Moktan remains a respected and cherished figure in Nepali folk‑adhunik music.

Ramesh Shrestha, popularly known as Melody, is a Nepali singer and composer recognized for his versatile musical style and melodious vocal presence. Born in 2043 BS, he entered the Nepali music industry in 2012 with his debut album ‘Aankha’, featuring six songs that showcased his abilities as a singer, composer, and lyricist. The album includes notable tracks such as ‘Maile Maya Gare Timilai,’ ‘Ropi Diyau Yo Dilma,’ and ‘Aankha Aankha Judyo Kyare,’ with lyrics by Prem Bharati, Basanta Rai, Shankar Adhikari, and Hari Krishna Gauli. Originally from Dolakha, Shrestha holds a diploma in Eastern classical music, yet his compositions span semi‑classical, lok‑pop, and adhunik styles. Beyond his own albums, he has composed for other artists, including the contemporary hit ‘Haat Ma Puja Ko Thali’ sung by Shiva Pariyar. Inspired by legendary musician Narayan Gopal, Shrestha continues to expand his musical journey. His second album ‘Aankhi Jhyal’ is underway, with the music video for ‘Aankhijhyalai Maa’ already released.
