Jerusha Rai is a Nepali indie singer-songwriter and music producer known for her experimental fusion of traditional Nepali folk sounds with contemporary pop, rock, and electronic influences. Born in Kathmandu, she attended St. Mary’s Secondary School and was immersed in Nepali folk music and instruments. Rai relocated to London for university studies and became involved with the Nepali diaspora music scene. Her self-released EP “We All Make Mistapes” gained attention, and her debut album “A Dark Place to Think” (2016) showcased her evocative songwriting. Her second album, “Sunsaan” (2019), explored Nepal’s political turmoil and mental health issues. Rai celebrates her indigenous Kiranti roots and uses music as a medium of healing. In 2023, she mysteriously disappeared after leaving her Kathmandu home without her phone, shocking Nepal’s music scene where she had been praised as a pioneering female indie artist and powerful creative voice. 🎵🌟

Sangh Rathi is recognized as the director of the first Nepali-language film, Satya Harischandra, which was released in 1951. This film is credited as the first Nepali-language film and is considered lost. The film's production was initiated by D. B. Pariyar in Kolkata and Darjeeling, India, marking a significant milestone in the history of Nepali cinema. 

The Uglyz is a Nepali pop rock band that originated in 1995 at Little Angels’ School in Lalitpur, Nepal. The band was formed by Sarun Tamrakar (vocalist) and Sudip Tamrakar (guitarist), both students at the school. Rakin Lal Shrestha joined as the drummer, completing the lineup. After pursuing college studies abroad, the band members reunited in Nepal and reformed in 2003. Their debut album, “Rush” (2005), resonated with Nepalese teenagers and adults. Some of the tracks from their albums include: “Aaudai Jaadai” (from “Rush”): A captivating song with a duration of 4 minutes and 15 seconds. “Maya” (from “Rush”): A soulful track lasting 3 minutes and 46 seconds. “Parkhai” (from “Rush”): A melodic piece spanning 4 minutes and 22 seconds. “Ajhai” (from “In Transit”): A song with a duration of 3 minutes and 53 seconds.

Sandip Karki, also known as Sandy Sax, is a talented Nepali saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist. He has been playing the saxophone for over a decade and is dedicated to modernizing the saxophone's presence in the Nepali music scene. Sandip is known for his soulful performances and has contributed to various music projects, including instrumental covers and original compositions.
