Laboni Chakraborty is a talented Nepali classical singer originally from Kolkata, India. She has made a significant impact on Nepal’s contemporary classical music scene, captivating audiences with her soulful renditions. She is also a judge on the Mero Voice Universe talent show.  Early Life & Education Laboni Chakraborty grew up in a musical family, where her father and relatives were singers. She began learning music at the age of five under the guidance of Baishali Juardhar. Later, she trained under Ajoy Chakrabarty, a renowned Hindustani classical vocalist, for ten years. She pursued her academic degree in music at Rabindra Bharati University, where she was a gold medalist in her master’s program. Career & Contributions Despite her strong musical foundation in India, Laboni Chakraborty chose to work in Nepal, where she has become one of the most respected classical singers. She teaches music at Lalit Kala Campus, Tribhuvan University, and runs her own music school, Raagrup, where she mentors aspiring musicians. She has performed in various prestigious events, including the Yalamaya Classic, where her rendition of Vilambit and Madhya Khayal in Raag Todi received a standing ovation. Samriddhi Rai is a multi-talented singer, songwriter, journalist, and media personality from Godawari, Lalitpur, born on August 13, 1987. She began her career in journalism, working with outlets like Kantipur, ECS Media, and The Himalayan Times, before transitioning into music and digital content creation. Her debut song “Bishwas” (2014) introduced her soulful style, followed by hits like “Ma Chahi Nepali,” “Prayas” (with Rohit John Chhetri), “Ma Dami Chhu,” and “Hera Na,” which blend pop melodies with empowering lyrics. She’s also the founder of Sammy Productions and host of the travel vlog series Sammy Adventures on YouTube and Kantipur TV. A former beauty pageant contestant, Samriddhi represented Nepal internationally and sparked debate by speaking out against favoritism in Miss Nepal. Her bold voice, both musically and socially, continues to inspire youth across Nepal.

Durga Pariyar is a Nepali singer known for her versatile vocal range across folk, modern, and film music. She first gained national attention after becoming First Position at Radio Nepal, followed by winning Nepal Television’s talent show Khoji Pratibha Season 1, which marked her formal entry into the professional music world.Her breakthrough moment came when she won the National Music Award (Best Modern Female Vocal) for the song “One Phool…”, awarded during Radio Kantipur’s 20th Anniversary celebration—a recognition that firmly established her among Nepal’s leading modern vocalists.Pariyar has contributed her voice to numerous collection albums, film soundtracks, and modern sentimental releases. Her discography includes works featured in Nepali films such as Maya’s Bar (2012) and Madhumas (2013), where she served as a playback singer.Her musical style blends folk authenticity, modern melodic phrasing, and emotional clarity, making her one of the most adaptable female voices in contemporary Nepali music.

Tika Bhandari is a Nepalese song composer and singer of Nepali music. He has composed music for over 500 Nepali modern songs and has released a total of 23 music albums. He is best known for composing songs like Goli Sishako, Khusi Ta Kahan (Deep Shrestha), Kina Dukcha Timro Man (Prem Dhoj Pradhan), Yo Maya Bhanne Chij (Anju Panta) Gaule, Jo Desh Lai (Kiran Pradhan), Ma Sabda Charera (Deepak Kharel), Chanchale Timra (Rabin Sharma), Chiso Chiso Sun Koshi (Kumar Kancha), Hamro Prem ko Katha (Karna Das), Harka Jeet (Tika Bhandari, Rajesh Payal Rai), Chhati Bhitra Dhuk Dhuki (Tika Bhandari), Qatar Gaye Suadi Gaye (Dekendra Thapa), Aadha Bato (Swarup Raj), Barsat ma uni rujhda (Ram Krishna Dhakal), Sagarmatha Roi Rahechha(Ram Krishna Dhakal), Gangalal ko Jasto mutu (Shiva Pariyar), Timro Man Bata (Pramod Kharel), Ma ta hajur van ko driver (Udit Narayan Jha), Jhilimili Gaun Gharai Ramailo (Deepa Narayan Jha), Ko Sanga Chaina Afno Simana (Mohammed Aziz) etc. Most of the Nepalese singers have sung his compositions. He received Nepal Bidhya Bhusan in 2003 for being faculty topper in M.A. in Political Science from Tribhuvan University. He is also the Deputy Director of Radio Nepal. On 19 May 2016, he participated an environmental song by 365 Nepali artists lyrics and music by Nipesh Dhaka, in entitled Melancholy which set a Guinness World Records.
