Born on September 14, 1978, in Tulsipur, Dang, he has shaped a distinct directorial identity by treating cinema not just as entertainment but as a medium of social awareness, cultural preservation, and personal expression.Acharya’s filmmaking journey is rooted in his academic background—he holds a Master’s degree in Sociology, which deeply influences his narrative style. Raju Giri (born 28 November 1975) is a Nepali film director who began his career as a theatre actor, later working in TV serials and films before debuting as a director with Hatyakanda and releasing his first directorial film Dilmaya in 2011; he has since directed popular films including Bindas, Bindas 2, Makhamali, and Nirjala, establishing himself as a consistent commercial filmmaker in Nepali cinema.
