Subash Mandal

Sanup Paudel is a professional singer of Nepal. He was born in Shillong, India. He is the youngest among four siblings. Sanup rose to fame after a singing contest had come up, called Geet Bahar, run by Gulshan Kumar in Mumbai. Sanup was at the age of nineteen when he applied for this contest and was finally selected. Early life and Education He learned the classical music, under the singer Shukla Dham, after completion of his bachelor education in Ethnomusicology at the Kathmandu University. A few after completion of this education, he got a chance to enroll in School of Oriental and African Studies in the UK for about half a year. Born and raised in India he came to Nepal in the year 1997 as a young musician. He registered for vocal lessons from Prabhu Raj Dhaka as some school lessons and also private classes outside of school.  

Santosh Lama, born on 6th Shrawan, 2043 BS, in Naubise 4, Dhading, is a renowned Nepali singer known for his melodious voice and heartfelt songs. The youngest son of Surendra Lama and Bishnu Maya Lama, he grew up in a middle-class family alongside four brothers and one sister. Santosh’s passion for music began at a young age. He participated in various school competitions and gained early recognition. His breakthrough came when he won Image F.M. Sur Sangam in his Grade 10. He also participated in Timro Sur Mero Geet, reaching the quarterfinals. His musical journey led him to Doremie Music School, where he honed his skills with a 1-year Tabla course and a 3-year singing course. Santosh's big break came when he won Nepali Tara 2. This victory was a turning point in his career, and it was during this time that he recorded his first song, "Bani Parecha." Since then, he has recorded over 200 songs for various albums, films, and collections, becoming a household name in the Nepali music industry. Ram Thapa (1958–2008) was a pioneering Nepali folk singer, music director, and Radio Nepal presenter known for his humorous and socially conscious songs. Born in Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu, he began his musical career in 1974 and became a 7th Grade Music Director at Radio Nepal. He sang over 150 folk songs and directed music for more than 200, with hits like Thok Na Madal Thok, Timi Yesai Lajayau, and Ritu Haruma Timi, which was ranked 7th by BBC in 2003. He was the first to publish Nepali music books with lyrics and chords, contributing to music education. Ram Thapa also served as a judge on Nepali Tara I & II, mentoring young talent. He passed away in 2008 due to liver disease.

Naren Limbu a Nepali singer and a music video director. He spent his childhood days in many places. So, he too joined in different school as Gorkha Children School (Hongkong), Biyajpur (Dharan). He also did his A Level from A J Wilde Institute. He is interested in music since childhood. He also study film making from Institute of Performing Film and Arts. He used to listen music a lot. He didn’t have formal education in music. But in school life he used to play guitars with his friend. They gather and sang the song. While he studied at RIBS school, Dharan he meet Sudip Gurung. He and Sudip recorded the first song titled “Dosh” at Music Work in 2002. They name the album Aastha. In the album songs like “Harpal” , “Yek Mauka and so on. The song became hits as well music video in the album also highly appreciated by people. The album is record under the banner of SAV. Naren Limbu After few months he worked alone and release the solo album Aatma. Among other songs from Aatma”, “Eklai” and “Timi Aaunu became hits in number. He again release next album title Aartha. In the album he included the song Kheney Numa Kewa” of Limbu language. He have also sung for other collection albums. He have also done stage program in Dharan, Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Hong Kong. He is also involved in making music videos of his own songs. The song like Aatma”, “Timi Aaunu”, “Garho Garhai Cha” and “Aantim Maya”.which he have directed. He also awarded by Hits FM Music Award for Best New Artist in 2003. Likewise the same year he awarded by Channel Nepal for the music video of Ek Mauka. Not only this he too nominated in the list of Best Music Video Category.
