Shila Bahadur Moktan

Mukesh Shakya is a young Nepali tabalist and classical musician, known as a disciple of the late maestro Rabin Lal Shrestha. He has performed in classical music sessions organized by the Society of Classical Music Nepal, including their 76th session, where his tabla playing was featured and praised for its precision and depth. Mukesh represents a new generation of Nepali classical artists dedicated to preserving and evolving traditional forms like tabla and Hindustani music. His training under Rabin Lal Shrestha places him in a respected lineage of percussionists, and his public performances reflect a growing commitment to Nepal’s classical music scene

Rohit Shakya (रोहित शाक्य) is a leading Nepali music arranger and background score composer, known for shaping the sound of modern Nepali cinema through his work on 70+ feature films. A graduate of SAE Institute, Thailand, he is recognized for his atmospheric scoring style, blending electronic textures, rock elements, and Nepali musical motifs to elevate narrative emotion.He is also the co‑founder of Fuzz Factory Productions, where he works as a composer, producer, and sound designer, contributing to film scores, documentaries, and multimedia projects. His background score work includes major Nepali films such as the Kabbadi series and Loot, establishing him as one of Nepal’s most in‑demand cinematic music creators.

Dhrubesh Chandra Regmi is a celebrated sitar maestro, scholar, and academician from Nepal, known for his profound contributions to classical music and musicology. Born into the illustrious Regmi musical lineage, he is the great-grandson of Pt. Dev Chandra Regmi, who pioneered the sitar tradition in Nepal. Trained under his father, Prof. Satish Chandra Regmi, Dhrubesh began playing sitar at the age of eight and gave his first concert by thirteen. He holds a Ph.D. in Music from Delhi University—the first Nepali musician to do so—with a dissertation on the history of music during the Rana period. He also completed a postdoctoral Fulbright fellowship at the City University of New York on “Music for Peace and Harmony.” A founding member of the acclaimed ensemble Sukarma, Dhrubesh has performed globally and currently serves as a Professor at Padma Kanya Multiple Campus, Tribhuvan University. His legacy bridges tradition, scholarship, and performance.
