She was previously married to Akash Shah, but later married Nikhil Upreti, a fellow Nepali actor, in 2009. The couple has two children together. Sumina Shrestha is a Nepali film actress active from 2002 to 2005, known for roles in Chakravyu, Indreni, Meri Aama, Pyari Bahini, and Kheladi. Her work reflects the family‑drama and social‑story tradition of early‑2000s Nepali cinema.
