Rajesh Payal Rai is a celebrated Nepalese singer and actor, often referred to as “Rai is King” in the Nepali music industry. Born on September 30, 1976, in Khotang District, Nepal, he has been active in the music scene since 1992. Over his illustrious career, he has recorded songs for more than 500 Nepali movies and released numerous private albums, such as Darshan Namaste, Rai is King, and Jadau. His versatility extends to singing in multiple languages, including Japanese and Assamese.
Rajesh Payal Rai has also performed internationally, captivating audiences across the globe. In addition to his musical achievements, he has been a coach on The Voice of Nepal since 2022. His contributions to music and his global tours have made him a beloved figure among the Nepali diaspora.
