Sarita Giri is a prominent Nepali theatre actor and film artist known for her powerful performances and strong foundation in stage acting. She began her artistic journey shortly after completing her School Leaving Certificate (SLC), initially entering theatre without prior intention but later continuing due to overwhelming audience appreciation for her early performances.A trained theatre professional, Sarita Giri holds a diploma in theatre studies from Gurukul and has participated in various national and international workshops, including Alternative Theatre in India, Physical Theatre in New York, and Puppet Theatre in the Philippines. Her dedication to the craft has established her as one of the refined performers emerging from Nepal’s theatre movement.Transitioning from stage to screen, she has played significant roles in Nepali cinema, appearing in films such as Machha Machha (2019), Aama (2020), Kagaz Patra, Lappan Chhappan 2 (2020), Changa Chet, Sungava, and Red Monsoon. Her performance in Gurudakshina earned her the Best Actress award at the Dcine Awards, highlighting her versatility across both theatre and film mediums.Recognized as one of the finest theatre artists in Nepal, Giri has consistently emphasized the importance of theatre as a strong foundation for acting. She has actively participated in discussions and festivals, advocating for the growth of theatre and cinema in Nepal while continuing to contribute to both mediums with impactful roles.

Kamal Devkota, hailing from Butwal, Nepal, is a distinguished actor in the Nepalese film industry and a passionate theatre artist. With a career spanning numerous performances, he has played and directed more than a dozen theatrical productions, showcasing his versatility and dedication to the craft. One of his notable film appearances includes the movie Jante Bakhro, where he brought his artistic prowess to the big screen. Beyond acting, Kamal is deeply committed to social causes, particularly wildlife conservation. He is the founder of Save The Lives and Save The Snakes, organizations dedicated to raising awareness and protecting snake species in Nepal. His work in conservation extends to educational documentaries and community-driven initiatives aimed at mitigating snakebite incidents. Kamal Devkota’s contributions to both the arts and environmental advocacy make him a unique figure in Nepal’s cultural and conservation landscape. Ramesh Budhathoki has so far acted in 1,200 teleserials and in about five dozen movies. Moreover, he has also directed 11 movies. He also holds the record for making Nepal’s longest teleserial of 980 episodes which ran on Nepal 1 television from 2004 to 2007. Budhathoki also made Nepal’s first teleserial called Bacha Birseko Chaina (Haven’t Forgotten Promise) in 1986.
