Mallika Karki is one of the famous singers of the country. Originally from a remote village in Morang, she made this far despite a limited opportunity. She has done duet with several national and international artist including Udit Narayan Jha, Kumar Sanu, Ramkrishna Dhakal and Kumar Kancha. She started her singing career in 2064 BS with the duo song with Udit Narayan Jha titled ‘Laaj ko Lali’. She is known for her hits like ‘Yeti Dherai Manche Haru Ko Bhid Maa’, ‘Timile Nasamjhida Maya’, Aakhai Ma Rakhu Ki’ and ‘Kasari Kasari Aayou’. Her melodious voice entitled her to prestigious awards like Kalika Music Award, Sagarmatha Music Award, Music Khabar Music Award and Bindabasini Music Award.

Born in Kathmandu, Nepal and now based in Toronto, Canada, Astha is an indie alternative pop singer-songwriter-sound engineer. She’s known for her charismatic voice and unique sound backed by her acoustic guitar and carefully crafted beats. Astha’s music is melodic, direct and emotional with lyrics that explore the depths of the human psyche: spirit, mind and emotions. Her music echoes the influence of various genres such as pop, folk and R&B. With 4 studio albums under her belt with full length album- Sa Re Ga Ma Pa.

Born on 17th February in Sindhuli, Nepal, Megh Lama is a passionate and dedicated modern Nepali singer known for his soulful voice and emotional expression in contemporary Nepali music. Raised in a musically supportive family, with parents Dilli Meghan Ghalan and Selmo Maya Ghalan, he grew up alongside two elder brothers and one elder sister. Although mischievous in childhood, Megh always showed a deep love for music, humming and singing modern Nepali and Hindi songs informally throughout his youth. After completing his schooling at Shree Mahendra Janta Secondary School, he pursued further studies at Chatur Bhujeshwor Multiple College in Sukhepokhari, Sarlahi. It was after his SLC that he decided to turn his musical passion into a professional career. Driven by this dream, he moved to Kathmandu, initially working at a law firm while seeking musical opportunities. Megh Lama formally entered the Nepali music scene with the release of his debut album “Megh” in 2059 BS, marking the beginning of a promising musical journey. In 2063 BS, his second album “Love Station” was released, featuring the widely appreciated track “Naulo Bhasha Aanibani”, which garnered him significant popularity and recognition. His third project, “Maina,” further solidified his presence in the industry. The album was accompanied by two music videos and continued to reflect his growth as a singer and performer. Known for his heartfelt delivery and modern vocal style, Megh Lama continues to be a respected name in Nepali music, with a fan base that appreciates his lyrical depth and emotional connection to the audience.

Shweta Punjali, a talented Nepali musician, gained recognition for her debut album “Udaan”. Several songs from this album received nominations at various national music awards. Notably, she won the Best New Talent award at the 2016 Nepali Music Video Awards and was also a nominee for Best Newcomer at the 2015 Tuborg Image Music Awards. Shweta primarily sings in the Nepali Adhunik style, which combines traditional melodies from Nepal with influences from Western instruments like electric piano, guitar, violin, and percussion. Her repertoire extends to bhajans (religious songs) and Nepali classical music. Additionally, she has participated in national music reality shows such as Nepali Tara (second season) and Bagina. Her training under the highly respected music teacher Gurudev Kamat at the Nepal Music Centre encompasses both classical and contemporary styles of Nepali singing1. Shweta’s musical journey reflects her versatility and dedication to her craft.
