Rabindra Singh Baniya, the world of light, camera and action began with a street play called ‘Prajatantra’ written and directed by Mohan Niraula. There has been no looking back for him who has captivated the theatre world with his phenomenal acting and directorial skill. Rabindra has recently debuted in a silver screen with ‘Talakjung Vs Tulke’—a new release in Nepali movie brigade. Get this straight—Rabindra is not the serious man that his film ‘Talakjung Vs Tulke’ has portrayed him to be. In person, he is just a guy next door: emotional, sensitive yet strong and stubborn. Moreover, he is a person who is an enduring listener and enjoys a good laugh. If he is serious about anything at all, it is his love for acting. Since his childhood, he has always had a keen interest in watching movies however he never thought of acting as a career option. He would say that he became actor by coincidence. Rabindra came to Kathmandu for his higher education but instead joined Pariwartan Nepal for acting course. Today with more than 20 street dramas performed in more than 200 places around Nepal, Rabindra has successfully carved his name as one of the most recognized face in Nepali theatre industry. Besides, acting, directing and producing movies, little known is that Rabindra also has keen interest in agro-entrepreneurship and has co-founded “Green Gold Farm House”.

Gopal Raj Mainali, popularly known by his iconic screen name “Chankhe,” was one of Nepal’s most beloved comedic actors, contributing more than four decades to Nepali cinema, theatre, and television. Born on Kartik 16, 2000 B.S. in Mangaltar, Kavrepalanchowk, he grew up with a natural flair for humor and storytelling. His film journey began with a small role in Hijo Aaja Bholi (1967), directed by Hira Singh Khatri, marking the start of a long and influential acting career. Mainali gained national recognition through his memorable comedic pairing with Basundhara Bhusal in Sindoor (1976), which became a cultural milestone. Over the years, he acted in more than 70 films and 60+ stage plays, including Kanyadan, Tilahari, Bhagyarekha, Ke Ghar Ke Dera, Yug Dekhi Yug Samma, Deuki, and Pacchyeuri. He was honored with multiple awards, including the Gaijatra Mahotsav Award, Vasudev Luintel Puraskar, and Nabin Puraskar, recognizing his lasting contribution to Nepali performing arts. Gopal Raj Mainali passed away in 2008, leaving behind a legacy of laughter, warmth, and artistic excellence.

Kamal Devkota, hailing from Butwal, Nepal, is a distinguished actor in the Nepalese film industry and a passionate theatre artist. With a career spanning numerous performances, he has played and directed more than a dozen theatrical productions, showcasing his versatility and dedication to the craft. One of his notable film appearances includes the movie Jante Bakhro, where he brought his artistic prowess to the big screen. Beyond acting, Kamal is deeply committed to social causes, particularly wildlife conservation. He is the founder of Save The Lives and Save The Snakes, organizations dedicated to raising awareness and protecting snake species in Nepal. His work in conservation extends to educational documentaries and community-driven initiatives aimed at mitigating snakebite incidents. Kamal Devkota’s contributions to both the arts and environmental advocacy make him a unique figure in Nepal’s cultural and conservation landscape. His ability to blend storytelling with activism continues to inspire audiences and communities alike.

Menuka Pradhan is an emerging actress in the Nepali Film Industry. She started out her career in acting from the movie ‘Ek Din Ek Raat’. Menuka Pradhan loved performing arts since the very beginning. By the help of her Parents she enrolled in acting for local television channel at her hometown in Chitwan. She started her film line by working at theatre. She learned acting along with other aspects of filmmaking from Actors Studio under the actor Anup Baral. She is also a trained jazz dancer. Before acting fashion designing and architecture was here priority it was until when she met Dev Kumar Shrestha of her first film’ ek din ek raat’ and also met Anup Baral and Deeya Maskey during the shooting process of that film. She, then joined the Actors Studio for the training and at that time she was the sixth batch of training institute.It is through opportunity and hard work one survive the loopholes and makes the mark in the film industry and the same thing can be said about Menuka as well.She is known for her spontaneity and her dancing skills as a performer.
