Pooja Lama

Durgesh Thapa (दुर्गेश थापा) is a dynamic Nepali singer, songwriter, and performer known for his bold lyrics, catchy folk-pop tunes, and high-energy stage presence. Born on May 22, 1990, in Sikkim, India, he grew up in Baglung, Nepal, and began his career in Kathmandu as a side dancer before transitioning into music. He rose to fame with viral hits like “Dushman Hereko Herei,” “Don Aayo Don,” “Bicha Bichama,” and “Chhoto Miniskirt,” which have become staples during Nepali festivals and celebrations. His music blends traditional Lok Dohori with modern pop, often laced with humor and social commentary. He’s also known for his flamboyant fashion and choreography, making his performances visually striking.

Juna Prasai is a Nepali singer known for her contributions to modern and folk music. She has released several songs, including "Bhailini Aaye", a popular Tihar festival song, and "Nadekheko Bhaye", a Nepali pop song. Her music blends traditional Nepali elements with contemporary styles, making her a recognized figure in the industry. Rupa Rana is a prominent Nepali actress who entered the film industry in 1989 with Bhagya Rekha and quickly became one of the recognizable faces of the 1990s Nepali cinema. Over her career, she has acted in more than two dozen films, including Chino, Prem, Bhisma Pratigya, Aama Ko Maya, Dushman, Prem Geet, Ma Yesto Geet Gauchhu, Kri, and Panchayat. Lasata Joshi is a versatile Nepali vocalist whose career spans over three decades, blending modern melodies with cultural depth. She began her musical journey with the album Aachanak in 2050 B.S. (1993/94 A.D.), marking her entry into Nepal’s contemporary music scene. Early Recognition Lasata’s talent was evident from a young age. She won first prize in the Nationwide Inter-school Music Competition in 2050 B.S. and earlier in the Nepal Bhasa Song Competition in 2045 B.S., showcasing her command over both Nepali and Newar musical traditions. Career Highlights Over the years, Lasata has lent her voice to a wide range of genres—from romantic ballads to ghazals and Nepal Bhasa songs. She has also contributed vocals to popular commercials, including jingles for Fair & Lovely and Lifebuoy, making her voice familiar to households across Nepal.
