Tirtha Kumari Thapa is a renowned Nepali folk singer who has been active in the music industry for over five decades. She began her musical journey in 2028 BS with Radio Nepal, recording more than 1,000 songs throughout her career. Born in Okhaldhunga, Pokali VDC, folk singer Avay Dhungel recently lives in the US. Avay's father Nabin Dhungel is also a popular folk singer. Avay sang 'purbeli kanchho', 'supari jai ko mala', aakashaima are very popular songs, "Sali Bhena" is the most popular song he has given to music. Over two dozen songs have been voiced by Avay Dhungel so far and six albums have been released.
