Deeya Pun, a talented Nepali actress, made her debut in the Nepali movie industry with the film “Bir Bikram”, which was released on August 18, 2016. Apart from acting, Deeya has also worked as a model and appeared in a Nepali music video directed by the same film’s director, Milan Chams. Her mother was also featured in some Nepali movies. Interestingly, Deeya’s background is quite diverse. She was born in Hong Kong and later moved to the United Kingdom at the age of nine. Despite spending most of her life abroad, she remains well-acquainted with Nepali culture. In her debut movie, “Bir Bikram,” Deeya portrayed the role of a simple village girl. In a remarkable achievement, Deeya Pun became the second Nepali actress to conquer Mount Everest. She reached the peak on May 27, 2022, joining an elite group of mountaineers. Prior to her Everest expedition, Deeya had already climbed Argentina’s 6,961-meter peak and the 8,163-meter tall Manaslu peak.
